1. Describe various business processes in your university.

University of Phoenix utilizes multiple business processes such as: Accounting, Human Resources, and Management Information. The accounting process makes sure that tuition is paid for by the student or any government funded organization, the HR process makes sure that student and teacher rights are upheld. The management process is the oversight of the university and makes sure that curriculum is taught and that the teachers are hired/fired.

2. Describe the enabling role of IT in business process management.
IT keeps all the information flowing so that if there is a breakdown or a anyone needs help with repairing or troubleshooting their computer or software IT makes sure it runs smoothly so that productivity does not get affected by regular hiccups.

3. Describe how IT architecture and IT infrastructure are interrelated.
IT architecture and IT infrastructure are interrelated by the architecture is the overall plan of the business process while the infrastructure is the specific tools used to accomplish the IT needs of a company.

4. Is the Internet an infrastructure, an architecture, or an application program? Explain your answer?
I believe the Internet is an application program. It is just software uploaded to a server that would be useless with out peoples individual infrastructure to utilize it.

5. How has the global, Web-based platform affected competition?
It has affected competition by internet users having instant access to all of your products and your advertising at all times. You know have store specific apps on smart phones that people can use if they favor a certain store over any other. You need to be current and up to date or you will lose
