Rewards

Just like a child gets a reward in the form of chocolates or cupcakes or even a hug, the same goes for the employees. There should be rewards related to the performance of employees in order to keep them motivated and keep them going, because if the employees are not motivated, they will not work up to mark and the organization as a whole, will suffer.

The most important reward that any employee could get at the company level is of course his or her paycheck. This will allow the employee to at least pay for the roof over his head as well as for the refrigerator and all the basic necessities of life. In addition to this, the company could pay bonuses for the improved performance, as well as paying pension to the employees. Basically, at the company level, the employees could be paid for the extrinsic rewards, which are through the way of finance.

At the manager-to-employee level, the employees should be motivated by the way of intrinsic rewards. Employees do not only need to be motivated by extrinsic rewards, they also require intrinsic rewards in order to remain motivated. Few of the examples include, motivating the employees on a daily basis of their work and by recognizing that they have put in effort and hard work. Secondly, the employees could be given a task that is a challenging one and the one which involves decision making. In addition to this, they could be given a place high in the hierarchy for doing great work. This will make them feel that they are important to the organization and will motivate them which will eventually lead to the benefit of the organization as the employees will work up to their full potential and will remain
