Why are some fruits sweet and some sour, whereas others have no specific taste?

Each fruit has its own distinct taste, which will differ in some way form the taste of any other fruit. Fruits having more of fructose taste sweeter, while those having more acids taste sour. There are many fruits, which almost equal quantities of fructose and acids. In general raw fruits contain more acids but on ripening, the quantity of acid in them decrease and the amount of sugar increase. Fruits contain fructose, certain acids, vitamins, starch, proteins and cellulose. Fruits that are sweet are, watermelon, guavas, and apples. The fruits that are sour are, lemon, raw mango, and limes.

How does the ripening of a fruit affect the process of seed dispersal?

Fruit development and ripening are very unique to plants. They represent an important component of human and animal’s diets. Analyses of fruit –ripening mutants and ripening –related gene expression suggest higher levels of a development that remains to be defined. A fruit not only protects the seeds inside it, but also may aid in dispersing those seeds away from the parent plant. The dispersal of seeds is important because it reduces competition for sunlight, soil, and water between the parent plants. The role of sunlight signaling in fruit carotenoid may be examined by the way they represent a target for practical manipulation. Fruit pigmentation and nutrients may change over a period of time. A fruit provides protection and aids in seed dispersal, the

Anthophyta division contains all species of plants. Some fruits may have the structural adaptations that help disperse the seed by wind or water. How do humans interfere in this process by consuming grains and fruits? Humans have influenced the breeding of plants, and fruit by trying to gain the knowledge to create something that has already been created. This has benefit the human race for over 100 years, land plants helps use to produce food. Most of the furniture we used today is made from the roots, and stems we see everyday. There are many chemicals produced by plants in which gives us medicine to treat people that may or may not have a terminal illness. Today we can depend on plants to be used for bioengineer to reproduce a certain substance to help out the environment. The oxygen that plants produce will also help all organisms in the biosphere, they carry out our cellular respiration. The forest holds an important part of t he water cycle. We could not live with out the help of carbon cycle, roots of trees, and most of all the soil that hold it all together. The use of plants helps us to live in an environment that gives humans life. In addition to not having these steps to better the life, as we know it, the burning of rain forest can damage the atmosphere. Does the seed use the fructose or starch in fruits for its metabolism? The seed uses starch for it metabolism that is called Germination. This is the beginning of the development of the embryo into a new plant. The absorption of water and the presence of oxygen will be favorable in unusually temperatures. Water is very important because it activates the embryos metabolic system. Once the metabolism has begun, the seed must continue to receive water or it will die. Many seeds germinate best 3 temperature between 25*C and 30* C degrees. At temperatures below freezing most seeds will not germinate at all. Some seeds have special requirements for this process. Once the seed coat has been softened, by water, the embryo’s starts to emerge from the seed. Seeds may be dormant for a long time. Many seeds may be very diverse, but they all have the same quality. They give use vital tools to use everyday to reproduce food, and other items we use on a daily basic.
