Since our body is 60% water. The daily taking we should consume be a minimum amount of at least 8 glasses a day. Gatorade doesn't have an essential so there's no daily recommendation for an average person. Powerade is the same with Gatorade there is no daily recommendation intake when drinking these two beverage
Water can be in almost every food they could possible be.
Gatorade comes in different varieties of drinks which including of low sugar and high protein. But they come in different flavors cheery, lemon, grape, and many more.
Powerade is also similar to Gatorade, they only have one form and that is liquid with many different flavors.
Cost
Water is free; people can get it by drinking tap water from the kitchen sink. people can get a bottle water from any marketplace for $1.00-$5.00, 24 pack of bottle water cost $12.99-$17.99, and 35 pack of bottle water cost $20.99-$30.99. But most people prefer to use the water refill vending machine that are in any market store, were a gallon would cost 20-30 cent and 8 gallon of water would cost $1.20-$1.50.
There are many gatorades in many stores that come to singles or in pack. 1 bottle of gatorade cost $1.00-$5.00, 24 pack of gatorades cost $12.99-$17.99, and 35 pack cost $20.99.
Powerades come also in singles and packs like Gatorade. Singles cost $1.69, 8 pack cost $4.18 , and 12 pack cost $28.82
Advantages of consumption
When drinking water it help maintain body functions and weight. Its helps break down food and regulate metabolism.
Gatorade have electrolytes and other stuff that our body need such as carbohydrate. Is a great sport beverage when you have intense workout activities because it replenish lost fuel in the muscles. The American Beverage Association stated "The body of available science supports the benefits of sports drinks for carbohydrate energy and hydration, which are necessary for an athlete's overall health, wellness and athletic performance." When doing activity like playing sports for a intense activity then a sport drink can help replenish our muscles. Since electrolytes role in proper muscles contraction while the glucose and sodium both enhance fluid absorption in our body.
Powerade help regulated blood level, also similar like gatorade can because both of them have electrolytes. it's also keep you hydrated like gatorade and water. It have carbohydrates that can help increase energy like gatorade. Not only that, it's also contain vitamins B-3, B-6, and B-12 that also support the energy metabolism. Powerade is just same sport drink like gatorade just allowing the body perform heavily physical activity.
Safety Level
People shouldn’t consume so much of Gatorade or powerade, since they don’t have daily recommendation for them. But the safest way is to have a minimum amount for once a week or drink some when doing a intense activity. Our body is half water so the safe way to drink it, is to do the daily recommendation of 8 glasses a day.
Disadvantage of consumption
Water have no nutrients and vitamins except for gatorade and powerade. But it is the most healthiest beverage then those sport drink for daily consumption. Gatorade and powerade has sugar and sodium content and consuming them will cause health problems that will increase heart diseases, obesity, and damaging teeth, high blood pressure, and weight gain. Many are replacing water with these sport drinks when they are exercising because they thought it would be better drink than water. "Scientific experiments reveal that these beverages also contain great amounts of caffeine, which can be greatly harmful to your nervous system especially when they are consumed over a long time." If people drink these and not be active will do more harm than good to their body.
Conclusion
People shouldn’t avoid drinking gatorade or powerade, its ok to drink them but need moderation. Since water is the most healthy beverage and have a daily recommendation should consumed without question but should limiting the sport drinks at least be once a week so it won't be harmful on the body unless the person exercise. These drink have valid benefits and should well care of our body and drinking lots of water.
