What is asymmetric encryption and why do we need it?
Asymmetric encryption is also known as public key encryption where there are two keys, a public key and a private key (Ezeobika, 2010). One key is used to encrypt and the other to decrypt (Hitachi ID Systems, Inc., 2013). Asymmetric encryption allows users to send secret messages by encrypting with the public key that belongs to the recipient (Hitachi ID Systems, Inc., 2013). Only the recipient will be able to decrypt the message because only that person will have access to the required key (Hitachi ID Systems, Inc., 2013).
A somewhat similar way to view this is the locking and unlocking of a safety deposit box at the bank. The bank has the “public” key that is used as one of the necessary keys to open and close the box. In this situation “public” refers to the same key used for other safety deposit boxes within the bank. While the renter has the private key that is also necessary to open and close the box.
Asymmetric encryption is useful because it allows for digital signatures which allow the person who is receiving a message to verify that a message is truly from a particular sender and to detect if the message has been altered (Ezeobika, 2010). Lastly, asymmetric encryption allows for accountability because once a message has been digitally signed the sender cannot deny having sent it (Ezeobika, 2010).

Southland Conference History

...The 1971 season was a year of major change for the Southland Conference. For the first time in history, the league expanded, adding Southwestern Louisiana and Louisiana Tech. Also, two holdover teams, Arkansas State and Texas-Arlington, featured new head coaches. Southwestern Louisiana and Louisiana Tech both departed the Gulf States Conference. USL was coming off a league title in 1970, while Louisiana Tech struggled through a 2-8 season a year after winning the Gulf States crown during quarterback Terry Bradshaw’s senior season. On the coaching front, Bennie Ellender left Arkansas State for Tulane, his alma mater. Ellender was replaced by Bill Davidson, Arkansas State’s offensive coordinator and a former Indians player. After Texas-Arlington’s...

The emerging pattern of churches’ death rate by attendance size is that the rate of death decreases as a church grows larger in attendance size.   Figure 6 – Attendees per Outflow Figure 6 demonstrates the effective reduction of membership per year. For example, churches with more than 550+ attendees lose one member to every 34 attendees. The best range is Group 1-32, as they lose an average one member per 42 attendees. Furthermore, the worst range is Group 425-549. In relation to outflows and inflows, Group 70-94 has the largest decrease in the conference at or 1% of the group’s total members. Team Collaboration

...change causing weakness or unsteady gate that is not communicated to the therapist, the therapist may send patient to hospital concluding it is a functional change instead of a medication side effect. This is just one of many things that can occur when poor communication occurs within a multi-disciplinary team. As previously mentioned home health care has seen a significant growth of increasingly complex patients requiring multiple disciplines in the home. Each member of the healthcare team has patient centered goals. It is necessary for each discipline to be aware of the goals that each discipline is working on to form a seamless plan of care. Due to the increased complexity of the plan of care it is necessary for the team to meet via conference call or in person to collaborate. The importance of team collaboration was investigated by searching the web site for evidence on the value of team collaboration. Research indicates that improved communication reduces the risk of errors in patient care and leads to improved patient outcomes (Vanderwielen, 2014). Next, the writer sent a survey to each member of the multidisciplinary team to assess the ability to...

All customers who come to restaurants for lunch and dinner during the two-week research period will be asked to complete the questionnaires. The Cronboch Coefficient Alpha will be used to test the construct reliability. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) will be used to determine the differences of customers’ perceived service quality for five dimensions between two meals and different groups of loyalty. In addition, correlation analysis will be used to determine the relationship between customers’ perceived service quality and customers’ characteristics such as gender, marital status, age, and reasons for dining. Management 530 Week 1 Case Study

...MGMT530 – Conference Decision Week 1 Case Analysis Template Katrina Johnson Management 530 Managerial Decision-Making 1) Define the decision problem? This case is about an Accounting System User’s Conference that was to be held in New Orleans, LA. However, due to Hurricane Katrina, the hotel is no longer able to accommodate the conference. Management must decide whether to move the conference to a different venue or change the dates to a later time, giving registrants’ limited notice. 2) What is the general nature of the problem? Competition for participants to take part in this conference is critical for customer retention, product development and product enhancements. Due to the magnitude of the destruction left in the wake of the hurricane, there is a strong likelihood that the conference will not be held. In addition, switching locations could possibly result in a loss of customers and the reputation of the hotel. 3) What event triggered the situation? Although Hurricane Katrina was the root cause of the dilemma, a natural disaster is a foreseeable event. Management should have had a backup plan in place, therefore the triggering event in my opinion is the lack of preparation on behalf of management, conference organizers, and hotel management. 4) What are the imposed constraints on the situation? As stated in the case, all attendees have prepaid their registration fees. They have to decide whether they want to still attend the...
