Checkpoint: Collaborative Fund-raising Activity Phoenix Homeless Agency (PHA) needs funds to continue providing job counseling to qualifying recipients. Discuss with your assigned group how nontraditional sources of funding might be used to solve the funding problem for the Phoenix Homeless Agency. Be creative! Determine the strategies from your discussion group that you feel would best solve the funding needs for PHA.
In dealing with the Phoenix Homeless Agency, the mission that is providing a good and sufficient service to the clients. The agency needs to figure out the most efficient ways to fund it. To fund, there is a variety of fundraising strategies with effort and dedication will be successful.
The first strategy that is in mind for our agency could be to try promoting and soliciting money by using different kinds of campaigns. This would if successful, far as generating money.
The large supporters and companies would be able to donate funds to benefit both sides, so in doing so the companies and supporters would be able to have a lower tax and would get more tax refunds back, just by supporting and donating for a good cause. I know for a fact that every years big companies always looking for a legit charity, organization that is making a difference in the world to donate to. In addition it would be a tax write off.
In the process of raising money, this could consist of auctioning off art work created by the clients and staff. As well as fashion show, talent shows, and car washes. These proceeds would go the agency to accomplish the goals that are trying to be set. These efforts will be a plus to the companies. Another source can be taking donations from the clients. This strategy would let the clients know that if they An Entrepreneurial approach also a positive and solid way to raise funds would benefit in the long run. When supporters and companies see that the clients the people in need of program’s and assistance are contributing, this give a sense of relief and the willingness to assist, donate and funds to this program.
Another one is Affinity marketing, this is when a venture begins between a vendor and an organization combines their marketing skills. How this works is, a vendor obtains a product that is promoted in their stores as if the purchaser when bought is supporting and donating apportion to a certain agency that is carrying out certain vital and important service for certain type of clients.
I believe all of these examples of fundraising would be an asset to the agency. These strategies will give a good reputation to the agency in front of supporters that looking for and agency to support. This will motivate the issues with the critics that down talk about nonprofit and the human service agency that it is a waste of tax payers’ money and the client are not worth helping. At least with these strategies the people that are being helped are represented as, people that are willing to do what is necessary to meet a portion of the assistance and not sitting back waiting for a hand out. Who does not want to help those who want to help themselves?
