Westerbork was a nazi German network concentration camp. Westerbork was established in 1939. In 1941 there had been an amount of 1,100 inmates in Westerbork ,most of the inmates were Jewish. All of the work they had to do in the cam was very exhausting and very tiring to do. Westerbork was operational from 1 July 1942 -12 April 1945s. Westerbork was liberated by Canadian 2nd Infantry Division. An amount 101,525 Jews were killed in Westerbork.
About an amount of 101,525 Jews have been gassed, burned, or died by natural causes in Westerbork . An amount of 14,502 children, 41,156 men, and 45,867 women were murdered in Westerbork. When they got to the camp the old or the young were told to take a shower and then gassed to death just because they were to weak. If you were to young or to old they killed you in the gas chambers because you were not worth feeding.…show more content… Everyday they ate a certain food for a month on end. They ate a lot of cutecumbers and tomatoes in the summer. On autom they ate cauliflower and in the winter they had to eat a lot of cabbage.Everyone in the camp a had a good amount of food to eat there.
All the jobs at Westerbork were very exhausting and tiring. There were many jobs for the Jews like making more clothes, making shoes or as person slaves for Germans. The Jews had to work even though it was to hot or to cold. If Jews got thirsty while they working they would have to drink the water that they found even if it was dirty.mAll the jobs for Jews were the worst to have ever done
Jews weren't the only people in Westerbork. Some of the people were also Germans. There were Germans in concentration camps, because they were Jehovah's Witness. A lot of the Germans were there to because they would help Jews go into hiding so they won't go to a concentration camp. Not all of the inmates inside Westerbork were Jews
