“What Do the ABE Goals Mean to Me” There are various ways in which I fully developed a self-aware and positive social identity for myself. Growing up I always felt different to my friends who were mostly Mexican-American. Although I was half Mexican-American from my father, my mother was born in Brazil. Since my mother had a strong cultural influence in our household, I often felt like I couldn’t relate my peers in a cultural sense. However, I eventually embraced my dual heritage once I realized the positives of having parents from two different countries. For instance, being able to speak Spanish and Portuguese has always given me a major sense of pride. Today, I fully embrace my heritage because it represents where my family originated

...Secure Data Sharing in the Cloud Danan Thilakanathan, Shiping Chen, Surya Nepal and Rafael A. Calvo 1 Introduction Cloud systems [1, 2] can be used to enable data sharing capabilities and this can provide an abundant of benefits to the user. There is currently a push for IT organisations to increase their data sharing efforts. According to a survey by InformationWeek [3], nearly all organisations shared their data somehow with 74 % sharing their data with customers and 64 % sharing with suppliers. A fourth of the surveyed organisations consider data sharing a top priority. The benefits organisations can gain from data sharing is higher productivity. With multiple users from different organisations contributing to data in the Cloud, the time and cost will be much less compared to having to manually exchange data and hence creating a clutter of redundant and possibly out-of-date documents. With social networking services such as Facebook, the benefits of sharing data are numerous [4] such as the ability to share photos, videos, information and events, creates a sense of enhanced enjoyment in one’s life and can enrich the lives of some people as they are amazed at how many people are interested in their life and well-being. For students and group-related projects, there has been a major importance for group collaborative tools [5]. Google Docs provides data sharing capabilities as groups of students or teams working on a project can share documents and can collaborate...

...1 http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20120405-708286.html * April 5, 2012, 10:23 a.m. ET By Alan Zibel Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--A U.S. bank regulator on Thursday cited Citigroup Inc. (C) for failing to comply with a federal law that requires banks to establish protections against money-laundering but didn't impose a fine. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said that Citi's U.S. banking unit showed deficiencies in its compliance with the bank-secrecy act, which requires banks to report on suspicious activities and maintain other protections against money laundering. Citi neither admitted nor denied the regulator's allegations and entered into a consent order with the regulator to fix the problems. Though the regulator didn't issue a fine, it still has the right to do so. The regulator said the bank had numerous weaknesses, including problems identifying and monitoring high-risk customers. In response, Citi said that the bank has "taken significant steps" in developing plans to manage the risk of money-laundering risks. "Because of these actions, many of the issues highlighted in the OCC's order have already been remediated or are in the process of being remediated," the bank said. "Furthermore, we are developing a plan to address the remaining OCC requirements. ...To what extent has China and India effected Japan`s economy between the years of 2009 -2014? Mejia Restoration. In ancient Japan the Tokugwa Period, commonly known as the Edo Period occurred between1603-1863. During this time economic and political stability was maintained in the country under the rule of the Shogunate (1). The Shogunate refers to a military style dictatorship, in which the Emperor granted high ranking military commanders the ability to control and wield power over Japan. The Tokugawa era, were considered to be the last of the shogun period in Japan To create social stability in Japan, the Shogun implemented a systematic plan, which separated the four main classes. Namely: The samurai (warriors) at the top, followed by farmers, artisans, and lastly peasants. The Shoguns were considered to be the bureaucrats of the country. In comparison the peasant class accounted for 80 % Japan’s population were restricted to engaging activities that were associated with agricultural and farming. The reason for this is that the Shogun wanted to ensure that those with authority and power were able to generate a stable source of income from their land, while leaving the peasants with little to survive on. The political stability of the Tokugawa period was under threat due to the colonial expansions of countries such as Portugal and Spain into Asia, via catholic missionaries (1). The reason why the Towkugwa Shogun`s feared catholic missionaries, was that they believe...
