What Can Be Done- Allow children who are slower extra time to familiarize with the following activity or transition. A good strategy is to pair them with another child that can keep him/her focused and on task (pg.157).

What Am I Doing- the class was working on a “Thankful Turkey” children and teacher discussed the importance of being thankful, some of the things they are thankful for. Children said things like, “family, friends, toys, food, cat, dog, teacher, brothers, mom, dad” to name a few. They followed by writing the stuff that they were thankful for on the different turkey feathers.
