Columbia is officially the Republic of Colombia and it is a transcontinental country largely located in the northwest of South America. The country is bordered by the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean, Panama on the northwest, Venezuela and Brazil on the east, and Peru and Ecuador on the southwest. Colombia shares maritime borderline with Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Bogotá is the capital city of Colombia and also known as the largest city in the country. The city is located in high-altitude region with about 7 million people and is usually warm and tropical.
