The conflict in Divergent by Veronica Roth is Tris versus the faction, Erudite. To be specific, Tris must stop Erudite’s plan to become the ruling faction in the government or her friends and family in Abnegation would die. Not only that, but the government would soon be corrupted by the Erudite’s ideas of wealth, comfort, and prosperity, which is a prime force in most of their members hunger for power. In addition, society may spiral into complete chaos by the other factions contrasting belief if there is no middle ground, which may result in Erudite’s start of a fearsome dictatorship. The resolution to the conflict is that Tris manages to convince Four back to reality and have him destroy the data controlling the simulation where it puts
