Gastrotypographicalassemblage was an art piece designed by Lou Dorfsman. The dimensions of the art piece are 35 feet wide by 8.5 feet tall. The purpose of this art piece was to list different food items served at the CBS Building in New York City. It listed different food items like steak, lobster, salads, and different types of dessert. All of this was based on ideas during the 1960’s time period. Mr. Dorfsman also had the help of fellow graphic designers Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase. The entire piece was finished up in 1966. Dorfsman considered it his gift to the world. During the early 1990’s, the CBS company parted ways with the gastrotypographicalassemblage. All of the nine panels of it were revived by a designer named Nick Fasciano.
