In this process they have to inaugurate to other people they barely know, who in terns show the respect they have inhibits from their pass lives”. May they kill them with kindness by doing what they suppose to do, their work that is, they should achieve the greatest accomplishment possible, without hurting their feeling. Some uncertain possibility may say they owe it to God, they owe to University of Phoenix, and they owe it to themselves. The most important reason everyone has them” is that” the way they act and speak to people when they think they are right about something. In an environment with multicultural people, there is a different process of understanding, you must take full responsibility for what you say and do because your behavior is not always understood. Cognito Ergo Sum

...people have trouble wrapping their minds around. For example, I have a body and I have a pair of hands, so why would I doubt these things? Descartes finds skepticism very puzzling and it intrigues him to find out why someone would think this way. In an effort to understand why some people thought like this, Descartes tries to break everything down into its bare bones. He thinks that you cannot build a body of knowledge unless you have firm foundation first. This makes sense because if you’re trying to build theory’s and ideas of things without knowing where these ideas came from, or even if those ideas are truthful or not, then you are just fooling yourself and wasting your own time. Your superstructure of knowledge must have some sort of structural integrity to it. You can’t build your knowledge upwards or expand your structure without sure support beams to follow it up. Descartes then goes on to believing there is a demon that exists everywhere which tricks everyone that our senses are a...

Reflection Paper

...Morgan Perry THEO 104-D30 April 9, 2015 Reflection Paper INTRODUCTION: My first reflection paper will address temptation and Demons. I do not have a lot of knowledge in these subjects but I want to challenge myself in places I am not familiar with. However, temptation and demons have relation with one another so that’s why I chose these topics. These classes at Liberty University have definitely opened my mind to what it is to be a Christian and appreciate the morals and values I hold. Temptation and Demons are spoken of in the Bible and all over the world. I am excited to further my learning in these topics. THEOLOGICAL DEFINITION: What is temptation? Temptation is what moves us to sin. It is important to know that God does not tempt us to sin (Jas 1:13) and temptation is not to be equated with sin. Christ was tempted (Matt. 4) yet he never sinned (Heb. 4:15). James 1:12-16 is the definition of temptation. Great blessings are given to those who are tempted and remain faithful and your own desires lead you into temptation (James 1:12-16). We must be able to get to a point to resist temptation. It is also important to realize temptation is not sin. Sin is not to blame when we sin (Napier, 1993, para. 12). BIBLICAL DEFINITION: According to the Bible there are two definitions of temptation. Temptation was demonstrated in the Bible when God “tempted” Abraham (Gen. 22:1). In this case temptation meant a trial or being put to the test. Temptation can also mean solicitation...

Dr. Josephson's Do Paranormal Even Exist Josephson

...In this world, there are many strange things that can be too much for the human eye. We wonder in our heads why and how do these happen and demand for an explanation. The experience of paranormal phenomena has been a source of curiosity for as long as man has existed. Stories of ghosts, demons, and mythical beasts are filled through American folklore and are based on facts. Even though it is hard to explain the unnatural and look for a logical explanation, science just simply cannot explain why and how these things happen. In the article, “Do Paranormal Even Exist“, even Dr. Josephson concedes, “It would have to be something we have not identified in physical experiments. I think if we can get some sort of model, then people then may start...

Angels and Demons

...Angels and Demons. According to the scriptures that angels were created instead of eternally exiting. Colossians 1:16-17 explains: “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. The time in which they were created is not clearly specified but most likely they were created during the time when God was creating the heaven as stated in Gen 1:1. Angels where created to provide, protect, and deliver what so ever God would have them to do. Demons known as the fallen angels are the enemies of God. They are under the authority of Satan and the main goal is to disrupt God’s kingdom and creation. In this paper I will provide a Theological definition, Biblical foundation and practical application on Angels and Demons. II. Angel is derived from the Greek word angelos, which means 'messenger'. In the Hebrew language angel is originated from the word Malak which translates to messenger. According to the Old Testament the prophet Malachi took his name from the word Malak. Malachi was a messenger that prophesied about the coming messenger of the new covenant. Even though angels are usually referred to as heavenly messenger, God also used humans to deliver His messages such as the prophet Malachi. “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before...

Regardless of their previous state, it stands without argument that they fell, and that they seek embodiment in man. The Word of God tells us this in Matthew 12: 17 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 18 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 19 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. . . . We also learn about demons seeking embodiment in man in the story of the Gadarene demoniac in Mark 5. The madman of Gadara was possessed with the devil and had a legion of spirits in him. If demons...

...Are Angels Real? Read This Story and Decide for Yourself An Angelic Encounter This is a personal story that happened to me. Some people read this and say that they believe I was visited by angels. Others say it is bogus. Read it and tell me what you think. The verse that corresponds to this first story is: Hebrews 13:2 - Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. I believe I encountered angels one day while on a bicycle ride. I'm not sure if God was testing me as the above scripture makes clear, but I am sure the meeting with these angels was not of this humanly world. I ride a road bicycle quite a lot. I used live out of town so my rides either headed back into town or way out toward the middle of nowhere on the highway headed to the next town. The highways of New Mexico are usually sparsely traveled. On this particular day, I was battling a headwind and it was a bit of struggle. I couldn't wait until I got out around 10 miles because the 10 miles home would be fast with the wind on my back. About 3 miles from home, I came up to the top of a small hill and noticed a white mini-van about 100 feet down the other side of the hill. As I approached it, I noticed that the young man standing next to the van had taken a badly deteriorated flat tire off the van and had his spare laying next to it. There were rubber and steel belts all over the place as the blow out appeared to be sudden and dangerous. I stopped...

Do People Have Demons

...Do People Have Demons? Afif Awad English 110-15 Professor Candace Ramirez 14 December 2012 Do People Have Demons? Gene Wilder once said “I never thought of it as God. I didn't know what to call it. I don't believe in devils, but demons I do because everyone at one time or another has some kind of a demon, even if you call it by another name, which drives them.” Demons are living with us day in and day out. Most people do not see them or even realize demons are with them. No one though has the same demon. Some people have smaller demons and others have bigger demons that can a lot of problems in a person’s life. Demons are spirits that are to be messed around with. Demons are evil spirits that want to hurt, torture, and control you as much as they can until there is nothing anyone can do. Good thing for believers in Christ as long as we got Him on are side anything is possible no matter what. It is funny how the one thing we are scared of (demons) is scared of the God Christians worship (Jesus Christ). Even with numerous accounts of demon possession in the world and movie producers constantly making movies about demonic possession many people still do not believe demons exist. In today’s society demonic possession is looked at in two ways. In the religious side they look for demonic possession and usually treat it with an exorcism using a variety of tools, but the scientific side looks at demons as non-existent and tell the patient the certain disease they are plagued...

The Champion

...THE CHAMPION In the vast expanse of a timeless place Where Silence ruled the outer space Ominously towering it stood The symbol of a spirit war Between the one named Lucifer, and the Morningstar, the ultimate of good. Enveloped by a trillion planets Clean as lightning, and hard as granite A cosmic coliseum would host the end, Of the war between the lord of sin and death And the omnipotent creator of man’s first breath Who will decide, who forever will be….. The audience for the fight of the ages was assembled and in place. The angels came in splendor from a star. The saints that had gone before were there, Jeremiah, Enoch, Job. They were singing the song of Zion on David’s harp. The demons arived, offensive and vile, cursing and blaspheming God Followed by their trophies dead and gone. Hitler, Napoleon, Pharoh, Capone, tormented, vexed, and grieved And waiting for their judgment from the throne. Then a chill swept through the mammoth crowd And the demons squealed with glee As a sorid, vulgar, repulsive essence was felt. Arrogantly prancing, hands held high, draped in a sparkling shroud, Trolled by demons, Satan ascended from Hell. Then Satan cringed, the sinners groaned, the demons reeled in pain As as swell of power like silent thunder rolled. With a surge of light beyond intense illuminating the universe, In resplendent glory appeared the Son of God. Then a persona, yes, extraordinaire appeared in center ring. God the Father will...
