In the novel, Peak, written by Roland Smith, the character Peak Marcello would wear green, mountain climbing boots, because he is a mountain climber, and they would be green to represent his growth and good judgement. Peak Marcello relates to Spider-Man because of his astonishing intellect and his daring, adventurous spirit. Mountain climbing boots represent Peak because he is a climber and those shoes are an absolute necessity to be successful in any climb attempt.
