When you fill up a glass with liquid you are using geometry in order to know the volume of the glass. Drawing uses geometry to establish the right kind of line and certain shapes. When I play sports I use geometry to find where the point of interception is and the proper velocity to throw the ball at. Driving requires knowledge of geometry because if you didn’t you might overcorrect a turn or U-turn. In wrestling I need to know how far away my opponent is before I take my shot.
Jewelers use geometry to cut the gems to make them more valuable. Construction workers use lots of geometry to build huge structures. For example the angle of a beam needs to be perfect in order for the build to stand. Math teachers have to teach and explain geometry in class by using examples. Chron states that artists use geometry to paint certain lines and patterns. Architects also have to use geometry to design builds to withstand strong winds and other natural disasters. …show more content…
During math we use algebra all the time to learn it. In sports algebra can be used to find out who scored what points and all the statistics. When I take a test I need to know how many points each question is, by using algebra I can figure it out. If I talk in class I use algebra to make sure I get the maximum amount of attention without getting into trouble. I do this by calculating the proper time and joke to create a disruption. Depending on the reaction, I would continue accordingly. Algebra is all around us depending on how we look at

...THE FUTURE OF EMPLOYMENT: HOW SUSCEPTIBLE ARE JOBS TO COMPUTERISATION?∗ Carl Benedikt Frey† and Michael A. Osborne‡ September 17, 2013 . Abstract We examine how susceptible jobs are to computerisation. To assess this, we begin by implementing a novel methodology to estimate the probability of computerisation for 702 detailed occupations, using a Gaussian process classifier. Based on these estimates, we examine expected impacts of future computerisation on US labour market outcomes, with the primary objective of analysing the number of jobs at risk and the relationship between an occupation’s probability of computerisation, wages and educational attainment. According to our estimates, about 47 percent of total US employment is at risk. We further provide evidence that wages and educational attainment exhibit a strong negative relationship with an occupation’s probability of computerisation. Keywords: Occupational Choice, Technological Change, Wage Inequality, Employment, Skill Demand JEL Classification: E24, J24, J31, J62, O33.
