Imperialism is the policy of extending the rule of authority of an empire or nation over countries. So what they are trying to say is it is imposing one's belief system on others through military force or through peaceful process. So the first reason the British Imperialized was for new resources. If the British Imperialised Africa they would get all their goods like the gold and diamonds. That is the first reason. The second reason the British Imperialised Africa was for the new markets. The first positive was it reduced local warfare. It reduced local warfare because the British were to worried about fighting the other people that it reduced the local warfare.The second positive was economic expansion. The first negative was Africans lost control of their land and independence. They lost their land and independence because the British came right in and took over it which resulted in loosing their land and independence.The second negative were thousands of Africans died battling Britain in trying to stop them from taking over their land. The third negative that came from this was new diseases such as smallpox that many Africans died from.

The perspective that I most agree with from Britain’s Imperialization of Africa is from the African side. I feel that it was wrong for a country to impose their beliefs on other people. First of all the Britain came in and gave diseases to the Africans which killed a lot and also they lost their land and independence from this, so I feel everyone has the right to live how they want within the law and have beliefs that they have learned through growing up. To have people invade your country and take it over and make you a prisoner is not right.
