Why Did The Reasons Why Dinosaurs Die?

Submitted By

The theory is that many dinosaurs died because of the hot and dry season. First, there was a huge drought in the beginning. The coelophysis that were still alive discovered a few sickly fish swimming slowly back and forth in a puddle. Other fish bodies have already sunk into the mud. When a sudden rainstorm breaks the drought, a surge of water and mud flows over the riverbanks and down the valley. Coelophysis and other predators are trapped and drown.

Also, when the water dries up, they leave behind both the dinosaurs that had died a few days earlier in the drought and the newly drowned dinosaurs. Some are dumped in tangles, some lie alone, stretched out on the mud. The ones that lie in puddles begin to separate. Those outside the puddles

...The dinosaur era when the dinosaurs were killed out, due to a She refers in her book that the meteor and other natural disasters did contribute to the dinosaur extinction and other plant and lifeforms. In her book she talks about history’s famous writers such as Aristotle, and how he would write about animals, but would never actually talk about the history of those species, they had curvier who wrote about possible history of animals, but later with a French army they found tusks belonging to a mammoth, they had them shipped to France where they were placed for display, a man named Louis-Jean Marie Daubentron, tried to classify this new founded species, but his only guess so far that it came from two animals, a hippo and an elephant. William hunter who was also studying these fossils decided that they were indeed an elephant, but it was carnivorous, which he believed was the canines, though Daubentron, still believed in his theory just believed that the animal was now three different animals the third now being unknown. Even Jefferson was intrigued with this new discovered species he even sent louis and Clark to go travel Northwest to see if they could find roaming, undisturbed because he believed that this creature was still alive, unfortunately, these species die...

Billions of Years vs. Thousands of Years

...scale that was invented in 1800’s. Within this invention, this scale was only to find the geologic ages, with out the information of periods or events. By this we believe the earth was formed about 4 billions years ago. This dates have been proven by analyzing samples of rocks , solar systems, and minerals. Scientist have collaborated and scientifically giving proves of objects, like how old it the oldest rock on earth or the oldest mineral and where did it come from. Material (Oldest earth rock), Age (4.0 billion years), and Methods (radiometric) our how the geologic scale combinations of specific source that tell the what scientist have documented and dated there sources. These are examples of why some assume the age of the earth is a billion years old. One big scientists believer was James Hutton studied rocks and fossils and believed the they made millions of years ago. But with every study he had to make people understand the laws of nature and the different events that life has formed within the earth. There are many reason we can say the world was made thousands years ago. Most of the Creationists believe the earth was created about Thousand years ago. There is no hard prove or witness to...

...Changes to a population like mutataions, genetic drift, and gene flow causes both the promoton and inhibition of evolution (France,2011,p.49). Sexual reproduction causes genes to be tranferred from from population to another. Humans did not evolve from chimpanzees, we share common ancestors with them, the Australopithecus afarensis (France,2011,p.52). The climate was not stable in Africa at the time and food was limited. Different methods of survival was needed to survive; this led to tool making, the use of fires, and eventually the development of advanced civilizations. The problem that may religions have with evolution is that it means that the creations of god is not as believable. Evolution shows that humans are animals that evolved from other animals, despite the natural belief of separating the two. Humans like to think of themselves has the superior species, so some deny the evolution theory out of the disbelief of sharing ancestors with a...

Evolution Versus Creationism

...ENG121 Evolution vs. Creationism The debate between evolutionism and creationism began thousands of years ago and the battle between the two streams of thought continues to this day. While creationists believe in a god who is the absolute creator of heaven and earth less than 10,000 years ago, evolutionists believe that the universe began billions of years ago with life started as just a single cell bacteria evolving slowly into everything we see today. “What’s the difference between creationism and evolution?” Charles Darwin’s work on evolution is the most recognized throughout history and the evidence that he discovered supporting evolution changed how many people viewed the history of our universe. His main research project was on a process called natural selection, the idea that survival of the fittest has been a main determinant is shaping how the earth and all living things appear today. Charles Darwin discuses this idea of Natural Selection in his essay “Natural Selection”, detailing evidence supporting his theory. This paper will discuss Darwin’s essay but will also go into further detail of his discoveries, other evolutionary milestones and finally comparing and contrasting the evolutionary argument to the creationism point of view. The idea of evolution first came about in the 1600’s when European naturalists started to question the current theories about how our universe was created. In 1666 the first evidence of evolution was discovered when a couple of fishermen...

Dinosaurs in Alaska

...Dinosaurs In Alaska? When you hear a place about Alaska, we think of snow, polar bears, glaciers, and cold weather. When you think of dinosaurs, we think of tropical places and hot climates. You would probably doubt dinosaurs could have ever lived here in Alaska. But about 65 million years ago they not only lived here, they thrived! There are a lot of information about dinosaurs, but what this paper will cover is how dinosaurs directly relate to Alaska. After reading this paper, you will find out how dinosaur research started and how long ago dinosaurs lived in Alaska. Plus find out the type of dinosaurs that lived Alaska, and the type of climate and which parts of Alaska that they lived in. You will also find out what type of evidence they found, if dinosaurs are related to the oil industry, who is still studying dinosaurs, and how this topic is introduced to the public. How it all began Dinosaurs strolled the earth over 245 million years ago. So it would only be fair to go all the way back to the beginning and quickly summarize how it all happened. Earth’s history is categorized into two eras, and then categorized by periods. The two eras are Paleozoic era, and Mesozoic era. Paleozoic era - (560 to 276 million years ago): This is the period where the first fish, corals, shellfish, insects, spiders, and swamp forests appeared. Mesozoic era - (350 to 65 million years ago)We are most interested in this era. This era contained 3 periods: Triassic period, Jurassic...

You would assume that in space, of all places there would be tons and tons of stars. Well, Michael Rundle wrote on HuffPost, “The lunar modules skin is by far the brightest thing in the pictures which means the crew had to have a low aperture setting on their cameras. Aperture is the setting on how much light is coming in the camera, the stars are not bright enough to be captured by the camera lens. This statement proves that there shouldn’t be pictures of stars on the moon unless that is the only thing in the picture. A statement like this proves that deniers are incorrect in their assumptions....

Struggle In The Film 'Miss Representation'

...In the movie “Miss Representation” It’s said that an individual’s brain does not fully develop until the age of 24, which means our children and young adults are our most vulnerable class of citizens to the proliferation of the media’s messages. As a young adult discovering myself, I have a lot of struggles with my appearance, and feeling accepted. I am a fairly confident person, but even then I can’t remember how many times I’ve said “I wish I looked like that”, or “why can’t I be that pretty”. We see all these “ideal” images of beauty and wonder who the hell cursed us and what we did to piss them off. These “social media influencers” are posting half-naked pictures with their surgically enhanced bodies and young girls are thinking that this is the norm, and that it’s okay. These young girls then grow up to post half-naked photos of themselves in hopes to feel like those Instagram models that they look up to and envy, but in reality all they are doing is giving guys a reason to objectify them. I don’t mean to point any fingers, but we are also partly to blame for the way guys act (hoping that all the feminists reading this don’t claw my eyes out for saying this). Most women secretly love the attention they post photos of themselves, and dress provocatively, because feeling wanted is a great feeling no matter who it’s from. I am guilty of doing this myself, and most girls probably are too, and no matter how many times you say “I dress like this for me”, it’s...

In this review article, extinctions in the geological record will be briefly mentioned. Many of the imaginative theories for the extinction of the dinosaurs will also be presented. Within the uniformitarian paradigm, the meteorite impact theory, once considered ‘outrageous’, now is the dominant theory. However, the volcanic theory is still believed by a majority of palaeontologists. Both theories have their strengths and weaknesses. The unscientific behaviour of those involved in the meteorite paradigm change will be briefly explored. Evidence that the dinosaurs died in a cataclysm of global proportions will be presented, such as the huge water-laid dinosaur graveyards found over the earth. Occasional monospecific bone-beds and the rarity of fossils of very young dinosaurs suggest a catastrophic death and burial. The billions of dinosaur tracks recently discovered provide testimony to unusual, stressful conditions. Nests, eggs, and babies are a challenge...

Nests, eggs, and babies are a challenge to a Flood model, but there are enough unknowns associated with the data that solid conclusions are difficult to draw. The part that impacts and volcanism play in a Flood paradigm will be briefly discussed. The question of whether the K/T boundary and the extinction of the dinosaurs should be considered a synchronous event within the Flood will be considered. Introduction Dinosaurs bring wonder to children and adults alike. That such great beasts once roamed the earth...

Naturalism Vs Transcendentalism

...The world, as it is known today, is strictly physical. Humans have no soul, and our sky is not harboring some invisible god of all creation. Nature is not a maternal being looking to comfort the creatures who live amongst her, and the conscienceless creature called man, who currently inhabits Earth, will soon be just like the dinosaurs – dead – for the harsh indifference of the soil beneath man’s feet has no opinion on his survival. Naturalism, as described above, is a grim, almost nihilistic, belief system characterized by the idea that the world is exactly as it can be seen; there is no god, but instead science, which can prove every concept and material object within the universe’s physical world. In addition to putting their complete faith...

Why Evolution Is True

...When I started the Evolution class, I was a little skeptic about whether or not I would believe in the theory of evolution were to be true. I was raised in a Baptist home where we were taught the God created the Heavens and the Earth in the book of Genesis. In Genesis 1 states that in the beginning the earth was without form and was dark. God divided the light from the darkness and created night from day. Throughout all that I was taught, I always wonder if there was something there before the earth became in darkness. The scientist through the studies of fossils have proven that there were in fact dinosaurs that roamed the face of the earth and that something suddenly happen to cause them to all die. Through the fossil, scientist are able to show us that there are many animals that evolved into other animals to change with the changing earth in order to survive. This at first was very hard for me to get. I was taught that God created everything. In the book of Genesis 1: 10 – 12, 20 – 22, 24-25, God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters he called the Seas. And God said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so and it was done. God said, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly of moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living...

Different organisms that have similar basic structures, but can be used for different purposes are evidence for a common ancestor. These are called homologous structures. An example is the pentadactyl limb, which is the basic structure found in amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. The basic structure is formed...

Dedumdoos Argumentative Essay

...They keep experimenting and our population became overpopulated. It became so populated that we had war in between types of our species, there was mass murder. DeDumDeDoos changed their names and moved away (that’s how some alien races started) because of all the fighting. Eventually in a year that even I couldn’t name the Confederation of DeDumDeDoos made a treaty saying that if any DeDumDeDoos ever fought they would bring their case to their elders, and if they still couldn’t solve it bring it to the Confederation who would vote on a decision. And to help prevent fighting the Confederacy decided we would branch out and explore. Some left for scientific reasons, others left for “gold rushes,” and some just wanted to have some fun. Of course we have historians and culture keepers who help keep history alive. Some even live or act the way we originally lived. Wars have still, and have broke out, sometimes between other races, sometimes with other DeDumDeDoos even with all the precaution. Exploration of space has helped though; there are many different types of DeDumDeDoos, we have helped advance other races, we have found better ways of living, we have advanced our pops, and as you could see many more. One day I hope to explore the Milky Way some more, or even visit unknown universes (to humankind at...
