Poof! is a play focusing on a serious issue in society which is domestic violence experienced by women and children all over the world. Lynn Nottage also talks about the role of women in society and the struggles they have faced in the past. She uses comedy to talk about this serious issues to the audience. She uses hyperboles, imagery, comedy, and other literary devices to compose her play and deliver her message to us.
