(Calbom and Keane) This is a serious problem because many health professionals say that a person should eat seven servings of vegetables and two serving of fruits per day. (Calbom and Keane) Consequently, this brings me to my recent decision to improve my health thru nutrition and in doing so; I was introduced to the wonderful world of Juicing. Juicing is not only great tasting, but has endless nutritional benefits. Author Carol Stack wrote, that juicing allows individuals to consume large amounts of nutrients without having to eat multiple foods several times a day. (Stack) I have learned that juicing multiple vegetables and fruits at the same time allows one to consume vast amounts of vitamins and minerals that may not be achieved by eating three square meals. Therefore, it is my opinion that when an individual is able to acquire their vitamins from raw foods and enzymes; they are improving their health which ultimately will improve their quality of life. Research has shown that ingesting fruits and vegetables on a daily basis can assist with reducing an individual chance of acquiring cancer, degenerative diseases and possibly Alzheimer’s.
