Without education people wouldn’t have their high-developed machine and would believe that the Earth is a planet around that all another planets are moving. Why people want to have their high education? As for me I have my reasons why I want to get high education. First reason I want to get high education is for career purpose. From the early age parents very often tell to their children that education is very important to find a good job. And this is true because if you want to be a doctor or a lower, or an engineer you must have an education. Among my friends in Russia when I was asking them why they wanted to get their high education very often they were telling me that it is necessary to get a good job and to make a good career. I agree with them because I think that it is easier to begin my career not from nothing, but with the experience and all education that I would gain in the University. Another reason why I want to get high education is because all members in my family have already received their high education. My father has finished the Institute of Technology, and my mother has finished Medical Institute. All my life I was listening from them that it is very important to get high education. When I was trying to pass my exams for the University in Russia my family was very nervous. ...of why she would want to meet with me. My knees were knocking, my palms were damp, and you could sense the amount of fear that was present in my body. As Ms. Bagakowski called me into her office she reassured me that this was a friendly visit and not one of discipline. She wanted to ask if I would be okay with moving into a different class because I was struggling in my current class. As I look back now on the experience I understand more of the reasons behind the switch and I also understand the role that both my Teacher and the Principle play in the school. The assignment this week was to interview both an Administrator and a Teacher and compare and contract their roles in the education system. I like that you used a personal example. When I went into Ms. Vance’s office I was quickly reminded of the fear I felt waiting for Ms. Bagakowski. Ms. Vance is the Director for Madison Christian Children’s Center in Phoenix, Arizona. As I began the interview Ms. Vance expressed her passion for children and how she became the director of Madison Christian Children’s Center. It wasn’t until she was mother that she really found her true calling to be a Teacher. She ran her own daycare from him and after her children were old enough to attend Preschool she went to work as a Preschool Assistant Teacher which soon after became a Preschool Teacher. Her love for child and her desire to impact the future generation became her mission. Good, but there are a few typos, so please...

...Assignment 1 “Why college education is important to me” Achieving Academic Excellence February 6th, 2014 The purpose of this essay is to show the importance of a college education and to provide many reasons why a college education would be important to me. I will incorporate a few quoted references along with some statistical data and my personal opinion. About twenty years ago I couldn’t give an answer to “why college is important to me”. I did enroll in a college and lasted about three semesters. I didn’t do well in many of my classes because I had poor study habits, lacked maturity, was never really focused, and just didn’t have any real motivation and goals set for myself. I never really gave it much thought. The point is I just didn’t take advantage of what college would mean to me and to my future. I wanted to enter the work force right away because I thought that I could land a good job without a college education. After fifteen years of doing different jobs and not making enough money to support a family on my own, I was finally at a crossroads. What am I going to do with my life? Do I continue to struggle? Those were really good questions. I realized that it wasn’t possible to land good jobs without better knowledge and the only way possible is to go back to school. I did some soul searching and came to the conclusion that if I am going to achieve something in this life and qualify for many positions then I must go back to college and work very hard for a degree...

That’s the exciting part - it’s an adventure in itself.’ “Nick Carter”. With a competitive job marked out there these days, I took a long look in the mirror and asked myself how was I going to get a better job, make more money and just provide my family with a better way of life with just a high school diploma, there was only one possible and logical answer. I needed to go back to college to further my education and ultimately my career. Second, to be a better role model for my children, to be a better role model reminds me of a quote that I once read. “If you are given a chance to be a role model, I think you should always take it because you can influence a person’s life in a positive light, and that’s...

...11/3/2012 | For my administrator and teacher interview I chose to interview Donnie Drew from Commerce High School where I live here in Georgia and Amberly Neese an English teacher here at Grand Canyon University. I chose Mr. Drew to interview first and for my administrator because he is an educator that I have looked up to since a very young age. I chose Mrs. Neese because she is the first teacher I have encountered here at GCU so far who has truly made a long, lasting impression on me as a person. Based on Mr. Drew and Mrs. Neese’s responses a few things were actually very similar. In fact, the answers that were similar are that; they both are educators who have a master’s degree; they both would recommend teaching only to people with a passion for it. They are also similar because they both have fellow teachers in their families, they both live in the communities they teach in, and both believe the greatest benefit of teaching is being able to influence and help children. Out of both of my interviews with Mr. Drew and Mrs. Neese only a few things stood out in stark contrast. These responses were; Mr. Drew has been an educator for almost 50 years while Mrs. Neese for almost 20, Mr. Drew began teaching because of a love of young people and sports, Mrs. Neese because of a love of children, helping people and because she wanted to be a good influence unlike some of her past teachers. I learned a lot about being an insider in the field of education during the two interviews...

Some say, education is the process of gaining information about the surrounding world while knowledge is something very different. They are partly right. But the conversion of information to knowledge is possible because of education. Education makes us capable of interpreting rightly the things perceived. There is no ending to the possibilities and success that a person can have in their life and career. Education is important to me because it cultivates me into mature individual, who are capable of planning for the future and making the right decision.
