In William Rivers Pitt’s article The Sin of 9/11 caused me to think about what opened the door to the terrorist attack of 911 on the world trade center and the pentagon? Thank goodness for the brave passengers of United flight 93, who foiled the terrorist attack by forcing the plane to the ground in Pennsylvania. William Pit explained how Americans from the conservative right thought Bill Clinton was not tough enough on terrorism. Mr. Pit on the other hand believes that Bill Clinton had successful protected the people from major terrorist attacks. During Bill Clinton’s term in office, he recognized the threat radical Islamic beliefs had on our country. His eyes were opened to the threat during the world trade center bombing on February 26, 1993. Per the history channel website, the republican party tried to discredit Bill Clinton by saying he was soft on the war of terrorism. Everybody has an opinion, but most felt that he should have informed the public about his preparation for a chemical terrorist attack. Bill Clinton had stockpiled emergency vaccines for a public health crisis that could have resulted from a terrorist attack. Bill Clinton raised a special forces campaign against terrorist groups all over the world. The Republican Party tried to undermine Bill Clinton’s efforts to keep America safe from our enemies. …show more content…
Gorn thinks the American Civil War could had been avoided. She believes that the Civil War as an irresponsible conflict. I think that is outrageous. She thinks the Civil War is not about ending slavery but more about two different capitalist bistorions vs social bistoryians fighting each other.
