William Wegman (born December 2, 1943) is an American artist most famous for his photography that features his weimaraners dogs who are wear different types of costumes and make different poses. At first Wegman wanted to be a painter, he received his B.F.A at Massachusetts College of Art in 1965 and a M.F.A degree in painting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1967. Being a local artist at Phillips Academy in and over Massachusetts in Spring of 2007 some of his work was featured on campus in the Addison Galleries of American Art. Today, Wegman’s work is shown at permanent collections of Museums of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Hammer Museum, the LA County Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian American
