The regular season career of one of professional basketball’s greatest scoring legends ended on March 28, 1973. Wilt Chamberlin and his Los Angeles Lakers traveled up the California coast to tangle with the Golden State Warriors. A sellout crowd was on hand to witness the human marvel known as “Wilt the Stilt”.

Chamberlin had netted 100 points during a single game in his career. He still holds the record for most 50-plus point games and most 40-point games in succession. However, on this night at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena, his scoring prowess was on display. The gifted 7-foot giant managed to score only a single point in this game.
