Introduction
Winterseat is a beautiful, spacious, up and coming gated subdivision within Ridgeville, SC. The community sits on fifty acres of land shared by a diverse group of families with the average household of three children per house. With all its beauty and at home feel Winterseat lacks a common area for kids and family to engage in athletic or physical activities. The proposed project is the construction of a two acre park and recreation area that consist of one softball field, one full court basketball court, one tiny tots playground area and one club house with two sets of his and her restrooms.
Selecting the project financial or non-financial method The Winterseat park and recreation area has an estimated cost of $75,000. Funds are produce from the collective amount of the resident’s fees which is collected by the home owner association. The cost will cover all supplies and man power,
Scope Statement PROJECT OBJECTIVE To construct high school regulation size basketball full court. Construct regulation size softball filed. Construct one story clubhouse. Construct tiny tots outdoor play area with see saw, swings, and slides. The play area provide the community a location to engage in physical activities for young and old. The play area also make the community more desirable for new home buyers. Project not to exceed $75,000.00. DELIVERABLES * 2000 sq. ft. clubhouse with Kitchen area, common area and two sets his and her bathrooms. * Regulation high school full court basketball court. 84' long by 50' wide * Regulation softball field. 270 to 320 feet * Tiny tots play area with 2 see saw, 2 slides, 6 swings MILESTONES 1. Permits approved—May 1 2. Field cleared, level and measured—May 5 3. Foundation poured—May 15 4. Drywall in. Framing, sheathing, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical inspections passed—May 30 5. Final inspection—June 15 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Clubhouse must meet local building codes. 2. Softball field meets regulation standards. 3. Basketball court meets size and regulation high school standard. 4. Tiny tots play area must meet all safety guidelines and local regulation standards. 5. All parks and recreations regulation must be followed.
LIMITS AND EXCLUSIONS 1. The Clubhouse will be built to the specifications and design of the original blueprints provided by the homeowners association. 2. Homeowner association is responsible for landscaping. 3. Clubhouse kitchen prewiring is included. Kitchen furnished by homeowners association. 4. Air conditioning is not included but prewiring is included. 5. Contractor reserves the right to contract out services. 6. Contractor is responsible for subcontracted work. 7. Site work limited to Monday through Saturday, 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Conclusion
Winterseat park and recreation area will not only add value to the homes, it will make buying a home in Winterseat a bargain. Few neighborhood in the area can compare with the added amenities that everyone can enjoy. Quality of life with community involvement will also increase with the added amenities. An added option for the young other than videos games will be provided the opportunity to get out and play.
