Wonderful Wintry Snow I woke up to a cozy January morning. I excitedly get up and run to the window. The window feels freezing cold as I look outside and see the white blanket of snow. The small snowflakes are falling from the sky. The snowflakes fall onto the ground building up one after another. I put on my fuzzy warm slippers and run downstairs. Everyone was eating breakfast. My siblings jump up out of their seats like dogs jumping up to get their treats. They seem very thrilled that it’s snowing and that there is no school. I sit them back down and pull up a chair to eat next to them. I make myself a bowl of honey nut cheerios and milk and begin eating next to them. We all finished eating so my two younger sisters and I sit down by the window to watch the snow. We look up at the sky and all we see is the white sky and fluffy snowflakes falling down looking like they were coming right onto us. The snow was rising higher and higher. It was almost two feet high! I started getting ready to go outside in the snow with my eleven and nine year old sisters. I put on my bulky purple snow suit which was a little uncomfortable. Then I put on my clunky snow boots. The boots make my feet feel trapped. I went downstairs and put on my warm coat, gloves, scarf and hat. I headed outside with my sibling. The snow was thin and powdery. It was very fun to walk through it. We started making a sledding track down the steps of the back porch. Since the snow was very light it was easy to make the track. We have a sled that two people can go gown at a time. My two sisters and I took turns going down. We had a really fun time sledding. Then we went to the front of my house to build a snowman. We made three small snowballs and kept on rolling them until they became very big balls. After each of us had a ball we put one on top of another, the biggest on the bottom for the body, and the smallest on the top for the head. My sister ran inside to get chocolate chips and a carrot. I looked for two branches. When my sister came back we put the chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth, the carrots for the nose, and the branches for the arms. We also put a hat and scarf on our cute, little snowman. We all trudged back inside the house. We were freezing. We took off all our wet snow gear and put on our war, dry, fresh cloths. We sat down to cups of hot coca that my mother prepared. The cozy feeling of the winter’s snow is finally here.
