How many words must one speak to create an emotion? Must we speak harsh words to create a hurt in someone’s soul? One does not need to try hard to write painful words, all one must say is he or she is done with trying. There are many different kinds of words that build a story or a poem. Words can do so much harm and good. In the statement “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me.” It is a lie. Words can bring a person up in an instance or tear them done in a millisecond.
The quote by John Greenleaf Wittier says: “Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these, ‘it might have been.’” Are those the saddest words of all, some may be pressed to say no, although to some these words are a life not lived. One may …show more content…
One can think on these things till he is blue in the face, but eventually if one would only acknowledge this pain. Many have felt this sadness from the consequence of our choice. But maybe one’s choices caused someone else joy? Are we such a selfish nation that we only think of what might have been for us. We are not all that matters in this world. Although as humans we get lost in our emotions, we feel only our choices matter and heaven forbid anyone else makes a mistake in the choices they made. Why do we care so much about our choices when someone less fortunate then you can benefit.?
The story of the Good Samaritan shows the choices people made. The people in that story had choices whether or not to help the man, but they decided to turn their eyes and ignore. How often would they go back and wonder if the choices they made were right. The sad thing is they did not look back on their choices they just kept moving forward. Some people do not live with regret, they do not care about it might have been.
Through it all, one may feel insecure about one’s choice, one will always feel insecure. Because of the past choice we have made because one may never know the right choice to take We need to shine Christ as our confidence for when we do
