Community The Ateneo Statistics Circle (A-Stat) was formed in the 10th of March 2005 by eleven B.S. Management Engineering students who saw the need to create an organization where students can apply quantitative methods and skills that they learned in class into solving and/or addressing real-life problems and issues present in their community. Furthermore, the founders saw the need for a Statistics-oriented student organization in the Ateneo which will cater mainly to statistics lovers as well as for those who want to learn about statistics but did not have enough opportunities because of the lack of any Statistics course in the university. Today, A-Stat, which exists vis-à-vis its external environment (e.g. other Ateneo organizations, the government, other outside school organizations, and the LS Community), delivers their outputs (e.g. research studies outputs, statistics tutorials and talks, social events, and charity works) through the work of their members and officers, through the funds that they collect from members and from fund-raising events, as well as through their statistical...

...Variables in our modern world effecting University Students’ academic success Abstract This research investigates the factors and variables that affect students’ academic results. This research paper focuses on variables which include hours of work, gender, high School academic results, hours of study and what relationship it has with our dependent variable which is the GPA. We aim to discover what relationship our variables hold with the dependent variable; if it is significant or in significant to be able to determine if it is valid to be rejected or accepted in our model. This study will draw upon the raw data that has been collected by surveying 50 university students from the University of Western Sydney. We have provided students with a questionnaire for numerical and measurable data related to the variables. Our data is validated and reiterated by previous literature, and we have created our own questionnaire which collects academic data where GPA is influenced highly by the selected variables. Our research is presented using a cross section data with many subjects without regard to difference in times. The data is uploaded on an excel spread sheet and ran through a STATA program to allow us to see the significance and correlating levels. The findings of this research is deemed to be a great source of knowledge for education institutions, students and the government to be able to further understand what major factors affect a student’s results. These results could...

...will be silly of us to mention EV training with mentioning the Super Training. It hasn't changed since X and Y and you should definitely complete that before doing this. So how exactly does Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire make it easier to EV train your Pokemon? Let’s take a look. Basics Let’s start with the basics of EV training. As many veteran trainers know, every Pokemon is allowed 510 Effort Value points that will go into their overall stats. These points are based on what Pokemon you defeat. Each Pokemon in ORAS has a specific amount in a given stat their EV points go toward. For example: A Wingull gives 1 Speed point. Each stat is allotted 252 EV points to max out a Pokemon’s potential in that particular stat. So, back to the Wingull, defeating 252 Wingull at 1 Speed point each will max out a particular Pokemon’s Speed stat. Some simple math shows that a Pokemon can max out two of their stats with the 252 EV points allowed -- with 6 EV points being left over for whatever stat you so choose. Which stat to EV Train to its max potential is solely on the preference of the trainer...

...suggestions that I received during the meeting, with my staff and encouraged my staff to give me feedback on how we can manage the functions more efficiently, especially the critical functions. A suggestion that I came up with was to draw up a timetable and allocate various functions to various timeslots- where the most critical functions would be allocated the most hours. I have struggled to implement this due to certain staff members that were underperforming. I approached my manager and he advised me of a different approach: he suggested that I handle all the functions in the following way- by running my files in such a way that I can calculate exactly how much work I have inside the 48hr turnaround time and outside the turnaround time- for each function. I then calculate how much staff I have available to work...

After 90 days, applicants successful in quitting will be encouraged to reapply.” Existing personnel are not covered by this policy. The Clinic continues to offer existing personnel extensive support and guidance to quit using tobacco. Use of Tobacco by Employees One has to recognize that some people enjoy tobacco. Standing outside with a group of friends smoking during a break provides camaraderie. Pacing one’s actions throughout the day by indulging in a smoke break is pleasurable for many. ...game freak would make this go from speculation to reality. Now let’s get into it! The first Pokémon on our list evolves using the Sun Stone. Sunflora is a Pokémon from gen 2 that overall below average stats, but what hurts this Pokémon a lot is that it is a grass type with a horrible speed stat of just base 30. I personally don’t even see a mega evolution helping this Pokémon unless it is granted a new typing. I might like to see sunflora get a secondary fire typing through mega evolution. Granted it doesn’t have access to any fire type moves up to 6th gen, gen 7 might go ahead change that up and give it access to flamethrower or fire blast. I’d say a mega evolution for sunflora with a new fire typing and some boosted stats could bump it up to the RU tier due to being able to take a hit much better and access to more coverage. As for my opinion in possibility of this happening let’s give it a 4/10. The 2nd Pokémon we will be looking at utilizes the Moon stone for evolution. Wigglytuff was a Pokémon that I always wanted to be better. 6th gen tried helping it out a little bit by giving this old Pokémon a new secondary fairy typing, but this Pokémon has some below average stats. Besides from the ridiculously high base HP stat of 140 there just isn’t too much going for it Stat-wise. Wigglytuff has a solid ability in competitive and This is...

...funding came to a halt in 1972, the group of statisticians agreed to chip in $5,000 apiece each year to keep the project running. The analytical software was licensed by pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, banks, and also by the academic community that had given birth to the project ("SAS Company Stats," n.d.). With a growing customer base that already numbered close to 100 academic, government and corporate entities, it was evident that success as an independent operation was possible. Goodnight, Sall and two other facility members decided to leave NCSU and develop SAS Institute Inc. - – a private company "devoted to the maintenance and further development of statistical analysis systems." ...ESPN's Architecture At Scale - Operating At 100,000 Duh Nuh Nuhs Per Second MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2013 AT 8:52AM ESPN went on air in 1978. In those 30+ years think of the wonders we’ve seen! When I think of ESPN I think of a worldwide brand that is the very definition of prime time. And it shows in their stats. ESPN.com peaks at 100,000 requests per second. Their peak event is, not surprisingly, the World Cup. But would you be surprised to learn ESPN is powered by only a few hundred servers and a couple of dozen engineers? I was. And would you be surprised to learn ESPN is undergoing a fundamental transition from an Enterprise architecture to one capable of handling web scale loads driven by increasing mobile usage, personalization, and a service orientation? Again, thinking ESPN was just about watching sports on TV, I was surprised. ESPN is becoming much more than that. ESPN is becoming a sports platform. How does ESPN handle all of this complexity, responsibility, change, and load? Unlike most every other profile on HighScalability. The fascinating story of ESPN’s architecture is told byManny Pelarinos, Senior Director, Engineering at ESPN in the InfoQ presentation Architecture at Scale at ESPN. Information from Max Protect: Scalability and Caching at ESPN.com has also been folded in. Starting in a pre-personal computer era ESPN developed an innovative cable and satellite TV sports empire. From an initial 30 minute program reviewing the day’s sports, they went on to make...

...this statute is mandatory and the causal term that helped me come to that conclusion is “Shall”. It is my opinion that the term “Shall” means required to in this statute. 3. According to this statute, what are the three ways that a person can be denied unemployment benefits in New Mexico? Must a person do all three things to be disqualified from receiving benefits, or is it enough that they only do one of the listed things? What term in the statute helped you answer this question? According to N.M. Stat. § 51-1-7, if it is determined by the division that the individual left employment voluntarily without good cause in connection with the employment. If it is determined by the division that the individual has been discharged for misconduct connected with the individual's employment; or if it is determined by the division that the individual has failed without good cause either to apply for available, suitable work when so directed or referred by the division or to accept suitable work when offered. The term “or” in connection with this statute means one of the said conditions therefore a person would only have to do one of the following stated above. “Or” is the term that brought me to my decision and opinion. 4. Are there any exceptions to this statute? If so, which of the three ways of being denied unemployment compensation do the exceptions apply to? The Statue states that a person cannot be denied benefits a) solely on the basis of pregnancy or the termination of pregnancy;...
