I will never take for granted the opportunities my youth group, Wyldlife, provided me. Middle School is an awkward stage for everybody, and having someone there is very important. I will not ever forget the time my leader laid a hand on me and said a prayer. At that moment I knew I was not alone. At that moment I came to a realization of the significant impact these people made on lives of others. As I grew older, I also realized that continuing to be apart of this youth group was important, so I became a leader myself. It was one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done. To Illistrate my point I continued going back every monday night. While looking at the faces of all that attended Wyldlife, that was enough encouragement. As I got into High school I also volunteered to be on work crew for these camps to give other kids the same opportunity for the scholarships that I was able to receive.
There were plenty of community service opportunities to do to help raise money for kids that wanted to go away to camp. I was ready to jump on any one available because I knew how eye opening and life changing it was for me, and I wanted others to be able to feel the same. The benefits others provided for myself was life changing, and the benefits my community service provided to others also made durastic change in many lives. When I came to a realization that I wanted to help others, as others helped me, I was no longer selfish about anything. Giving is something I find great joy
