After the date, they both went over to Em’s house, to find a bunch of Officials confiscating artifacts from every house. Xander announced to Cassia that he’d hide her compact to save it, but Cassia gave him Ky’s compass instead. That night she received a napkin from Ky that had illustrated another self-portrait with a rain concept. Xander later reveals where he hid the compass; it was buried under Ky’s flowerbeds. When it was time to hike again, Cassia was partnered up with Ky to complete an obstacle and Livy was pretty jealous to hear about this.
