Wisdom and Action scenario
Wisdom and Action scenario 1) The known facts is a local nonprofit organization that networks with other service agencies in the area was designed to fill gaps in needed services for families. The agency has been in existence for several years and has gained respect of the community. One fact that I feel like that is missing that should be obtain is director of the agency applied to seven different foundations and hope to at least get one and they receive three I feel like more information should be given and stating what they would do with the rest of the money. I understand they request 10,000 for a part-time administrative assistant. The potential stakeholders are the agency, director and the clients. The potential outcome both good and bad for the stakeholders are the agency will receive 30,000 for applying to different foundations for money to hire a part-time administrative assistant. The director of the agency was hoping to at least get 10,000 and they were rewarded with 30,000. The granting foundation had different requirements for reporting on the use of the money. Two of the foundations asked that the money be used in the manner for which it was requested. I think I would probably most likely seek out the agency director for input advice and consultation. Why because he/she is the head person in the organization and I dint feel like they will steer me in the wrong direction. What my conscience says to me about this dilemma is that the director is applying for several grants hoping that she only get one for 10,000 so a part-time administrative assistant can be hire and in addition she was granted two additional grants for 10,000 each for three grants. I feel like the director should do something constructional with these funds for the community and I honestly don’t think it will happen. Some ethical principles that apply
