In this report, I had to analyse the biggest company in Denmark when you are talking about products of milk, Arla Foods. I will especially look into two companies that are owned by Arla. It is two of the Coco giants in Denmark, Cocio and Matilde kakao. In this report there will be a description of Arla Foods, how they are being so successful, what their methods towards a successful business is and most important, how they attract customers. After that, I will analyze the two websites Cocio.dk and Matilde.dk. What I will be searching for is how they are different from each other in attracting their own target group. Which models and measures they are using to hit the target group in the best possible way, how their websites is build. Final I will make a conclusion and look how the websites are different from each other and will conclude if it hits the target group and make some suggestions how they could improve themselves.

Indledning

I denne Studieretningsopgave vil jeg analysere Matilde Kakao og Cocio. Hvad der gør dem så store og hvordan de markedsfører sig på den bedst mulige måde. Jeg vil forklare hvad det er der gør at de kan blive ved med at få kunder, og hvad der gør at selv de nyeste produkter bliver populære, hvordan de tiltrækker kunderne og hvilke virkemidler de benytter. I redegørelsen vil jeg sætte fokus på virksomheden bag Matilde Kakao og Cocio, nemlig Arla Foods, deres historie og hvilken form for virksomhedstype Arla er og hvad det er der gør at Arla har haft så meget succes.
Jeg vil benytte AIDA modellen og analysere Cocio og Matildes hjemmeside, konkludere hvordan deres markedsføring foregår. I hjemmesideanalysen vil der blive inddraget Minerva modellen, dele af segmenteringsprocessen og slutte af med appelformer.
Til sidst vil der blive vurderet hvordan hver hjemmeside adskiller sig fra den anden for at ramme målgruppen bedst muligt.

Virksomheden bag

Virksomheden bag de to kakao giganter Cocio og Matilde kakao er den endnu større virksomhed Arla Foods. Arla specialiserer sig indenfor mælkeprodukter. Arla er en virksomhed som alle kender eller har hørt om, da det er en global virksomhed, som er dansk svensk stiftet. Arla har samarbejde og producere i lande som Canada, Kina, USA og Storbritannien. I alt produceres der Arla produkter i 13 lande verden over med 16.000 ansatte og i alt 20 lande med salgskontorer. Det er en produktionsvirksomhed, da deres produkt er noget de selv producerer på diverse fabrikker. Arla blev allerede stiftet i 1881. Dog er det Arla, som vi kender i dag, stiftet i 2000. Det var det danske MD Foods og det svenske Arla Ekonomisk Förening, som indgik et samarbejde. Siden dengang har Arla fusioneret med flere udenlandske mejerivirksomheder. Arla er et andelsselskab, hvilket betyder at det er muligt at købe sig ind i virksomheden. I januar 2013 var der 12.256 mælkeproducenter, som kan kalde sig ejer af Arla. Producenterne kom fra seks europæiske lande. Bestyrelsen for Arla består af i alt 24 personer. Danmark er det land med flest medlemmer, nemlig otte. Det er muligt for andre velhavende virksomheder at købe andele i Arla. Arla er en B2B virksomhed, da de handler direkte med andre virksomheder og ikke har direkte kontakt med konsumenterne. Arla er en kæmpe virksomhed, hvilket bekræftes når man ser på nettoomsætningen og på ansatte. Arla Foods har i 2012 ansat 18.112 på verdensplan. I 2011 lå omsætningen på 54,9 milliarder DKK. Bare et år senere kunne de præsentere rekordstor omsætning, da den var steget med hele 15 procent til 61,3 procent. "2012 har været et skelsættende år for Arla. I et hårdt marked har Arla fortsat med at udvikle et solidt andelsselskab med nye lovende positioner på flere kernemarkeder og stærke varemærker.” Arla er uden tvivl den største mælkeproducent i Danmark, hvilket gør dem til markedslederen indenfor mejeriprodukter i Danmark. Arla har til vane at forsvare sig på den offensive måde. De har opkøbt mange konkurrenter og ejer rigtig mange virksomheder og har forsvaret sig imod konkurrenter på den måde.

Nogle af de mest kendte virksomheder, ejet af Arla er Rynkeby juice, Riberhus ost og Kærgaarden smør. Ved køb af alle de konkurrerende virksomheder, cementerer Arla deres klare position som markedsleder. Som markedslederen i mejeribranchen er det ikke en særlig stor udfordring at introducere nye produkter, som hurtigt vil blive solgt, da det er Arla og der er mangel på udfordrende konkurrenter.

I denne analyse vil det være Cocio og Matilde kakao, som bliver analyseret. Cocio blev stiftet i 1951 af Anker Pallesen. Han havde bogstaveligt taget stået i køkkenet med sin kone og brygget den perfekte smag. Anker Pallesen havde i forvejen en god forstand på handel. I 1976 blev Cocio solgt til det Amerikanske firma The Borden Corperation. Produktionen fortsatte i Esbjerg, hvor produktionen også startede. I 1999 kom Cocio endnu engang til at blive ejet af danskere. E. Bank Lauridsen Holding og IAT-Koncernen købte Cocio. Tre år senere kom Arla Foods ind i billedet og købte 50 % af Cocio. Bare fem år senere i 2008, købte Arla de resterende 50 % af Cocio og blev derved fuld ejer af virksomheden.

Matilde kakao blev stiftet 1970. Logoet, som vi alle kender, blev moderniseret i starten af 1990’erne. I starten af det årti markedsførte de deres produkt med skuespilleren, Ove Sprogø. Allerede dengang blev der brugt en vertikal opinionsleder i form af et kendt ansigt, som Cocio stadig gør i nutiden.
