Yoga for Toddler
This form of fitness session is great alternative to do with a group of primary aged student. It is noncompetitive and overall harmonious nature of yoga with any feeling of physical and mentally. In this article “How does yoga affect children by Ashley Dodson,” explained the component element of yoga that is benefit for those who has children.
One interested facts Ashley mention in this article was about Oprah did a radio interview with Dr. Kathleen Hall regard of helping children managing stress. Dr. Hall recommended children to do simple stretching technique, breathing exercises and chair yoga position. Another interesting facts it is great for those who is ADD (Attention deficit disorder). In 2004 study research shown in age of 8-13 years old boys who practicing yoga once a weeks for five month result shown improvement with their self-control, less-hyperactive and increased their concentration. Lastly to help the toddler to build partnership. It way to help the child to learn about team skill. It bring them attention of self-awareness and helps improve their self-esteem. What inspire me to do research about yoga for toddler? My 2 years old niece. She will try to imitate every yoga pose I do. I find it very amazing and fun. I would recommend anyone who want to find exercise that is fun and friendly for their children, younger siblings, and for those diagnose ADD.
