Have you ever heard of Yoruba, a Nigerian language spoken by Nigerians in the 1700s before being taken to Cuba to become slaves? Well, a great way to learn about the language is by listening to twin sisters Lisa-Kainde Diaz and Naomi Diaz, also known as Ibeyi (which literally translates to “twins” in Yoruba).
