Youngstown sheet and Tube Co. v Sawyer was a cases that dated back to 1952 and was decided by the United States Supreme Court. This case involved an executive order 10340 by President Harry Truman. This case was developed because of threatened union strikes involving several steel mills and the labor union. During this time the Korean was going on and President Truman was worried about the steel prices going up and or the production to stop because of the threatened strikes.
