Yusuf Alfalaky was born in Cout in 1944 to a well-known rich family. His father, Yakoub, was a jewelry businessman and he had a strong connection with the ruling family in the government. After Yusuf finished high school, he traveled to the United Kingdom to further his education, where he joined the London School for Economics and Political Science. He graduated as the salutatorian of his class and earned a bachelor’s degree. The times he spent in the United Kingdom were the best in his life -- where he always keeps remembering.
