The founding of Zaxby’s is quite an interesting story. While shooting basketball, Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley decided that they were tired of their Statesboro wings and chicken. They say the rest is “chicken history”. In May of 1990, their dreams came true, the first Zaxby’s was opened. Now Zaxby’s has over 600 locations in fifteen states. Zach Mcleory grew up in Statesboro, Georgia. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Zaxby’s. His childhood friend and Co-Founder Toney, says, “He’s the one who has made Zaxby’s a success”. Zach was so determined to make Zaxby’s a success he put his music career on hold and sold his drums in order to open the first store. Zach is the stockholder of seventy restaurant. He is also an alumni of the
