Zombies are coming to your town! Panic is among you, but you won’t need a thing, other than what’s on my zombie survival guide. Preparing for a zombie apocalypse is like preparing for school. You need to do your homework, if you don't you could face potential doom. Just like if you don't know enough about zombies, you're bound to get your brains eaten. Also, if you don't prepare at all, you'll be out of luck If you leave that essay at home that's due today for school, or leave your machete behind during this state of emergeny, you'll be left in the dust. And, if you haven't prepared at all and you get to school or the battlefield, there's no turning back to prepare once the bell rings. Using The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, I will be guiding you on how to take advantage of a zombie’s biology, what transportation to use, and where to take shelter during the apocalypse

According to the text, “Inner-city schools have taken on a fortress- like atmosphere. Not only are the buildings themselves built to withstand a riot, but chain-link fences surrounding them make them seem more like military compounds.”(Brooks 79). This feature of a school is great for a zombie apocalypse. You could hide out from zombies in a military- grade fortress. And when the zombies come knockin', they won't make it in for a while because of all the saftey measures the builders took to keep the previous occupants safe and sound. Brooks also says that a school will have adequate food and first aid supplies. This will make a school a prime source of refuge during an apocalypse of any kind. This means you can be well nourished and have aid if you become hurt or sick. You could potentially be sheltering in this institute for a few weeks, so food and aid supplies are vital. Since schools have great protection and ample supplies, I will be going here during the

...Zombie Apocalypse In order to keep myself safe in an event of a zombie apocalypse I need to go to my house and then find a safer shelter. In order to do this I first need to find a safe way out of the school. The next step in this plan would to find a vehicle and drive to my house in Lamedeer. Once I get there I need to pick up my family and make sure they're safe. The following action if needed that I will take is to find a safer shelter. The way I am going to get out of the school is to hide in a safe place in the school. Once I do that I then need to call my family to see if they can come pick me up. If they can’t then I’m going to have to find someone's keys and borrow their car. I would then have to find the car of the keys I have taken...

Zombie Apocalypse Research Paper

...Everyone wants to survive the zombie apocalypse. Hurried feet approach a rusty and almost out of place door. With a shove and determination, the door slowly and reluctantly swings open. The soft sound of boots shuffling across the concrete floors and grates mixes with the soft music playing on the old radio. A feeling of ease and safety envelopes you as the sweet yet sour smell of smoke mixed with oil invades your nostrils. With a loud thud, the door closes and the only thing that can be heard is the quiet music. The dim lights create a calm yet uneasy atmosphere. The Bus Barn at CVU would be the perfect place to stay in the Zombie Apocalypse. The large number of tools, piles of parts, and location make for the perfect place to stay in the Apocalypse. Walls covered with tools and the ones that couldn’t fit, stuffed into unorganized toolboxes. These tools would be perfect weapons for the zombie apocalypse. To kill a zombie you want to do it quietly and quickly. Something that will have the ability to go through a skull and into the brain. With such a big variety of tools, there is no way you couldn’t find something to do the job. Whether it is close combat or you need a projectile, the bus barn has a tool for it. Screwdrivers and...

Zombie Apocalypse Research Paper

...Some people scoff at the notion of a zombie apocalypse, but with our population’s increased use of chemically altering cosmetics, overused medications, toxic energy drinks, drastic plastic surgery procedures, and cell phones permanently fixed to our faces who knows what the long-term consequences may be. The people who will survive are the people who plan ahead for the unthinkable (and have large amounts of money to construct the perfect zombie-proof house). It is obvious to anyone who watches “The Walking Dead” or other pop culture classics where the undead rule that the first and best line of defense is a good shelter. Without proper protection, you are left exposed and vulnerable. However, with a perfectly located, tricked out post-apocalyptic pad, you can rest easy and ride out the apocalypse in luxury. The most important factor for apocalypse home security is location. By building my dwelling on an island with temperate weather, I will be better...

Zombie Apocalypse Research Paper

...The Keys to Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse A zombie apocalypse occurs when the dead “revive” with the intention to transform the living into zombies. It is quite evident that a zombie apocalypse has never occurred, and that the chance of a zombie apocalypse will ever occur is unlikely. However, such absent inactivity should not lead a person to eliminate the possibility of a zombie apocalypse as a future reality. Unlike natural disasters that often come with a warning, a zombie apocalypse would most likely be absent of any warning – it’s an outbreak that occurs unexpectedly, and spreads rapidly. Due to the unpredictable nature of zombie apocalypses, one should not neglect preparation. While at first glance, it may seem that surviving a zombie apocalypse is impractical; with the proper location, shelter, and weapons, people can in fact survive. Location is a vital factor to consider when preparing for a zombie apocalypse....

Abstracts should be simple and to the point, allowing the reader to decide if he or she wants to read your paper in its entirety. Please also note that the first line of your abstract is not indented. ZOMBIES 3 Zombies: How to Survive the Apocalypse The continuing threat of a zombie apocalypse requires heightened awareness and preparation in order to survive. There is a need for the availability of public health resources and survival techniques. In addition to public resources, individuals will have to take the initiative to be aware and prepare. Focus on development and implementation of resources will prove to have a high return on investment; preparedness will ensure survival of the human species. Procrastination will lead to being assimilated into the zombie ranks. One of the first things everyone can do to prepare for the arrival of zombies is to stock up on water, food, batteries and candles. Having the proper supplies is an important step in being ready in the event of an outbreak. The Office of Public...

Science for Everyday Life

...Julia DeWitt SC250-05: Science for Everyday Life Unit 9 Assignment August 05, 2014 When I hear the word “scientist” there are multiple things that run through my thoughts. I picture someone in a lab coat trying to discover a cure to a disease like cancer or the next plague that comes along. There is this image of dry ice coming out of test tubes and beakers surrounding them. Maybe even a bunch of stressed out yuppie looking guys who had way too much coffee, desperately trying to find the vaccine to stop the zombie apocalypse. I also picture Beaker from the Muppet show. He did a wonderful job forming an image of what a scientist probably was to me as a child. He was insecure and he made a mess. My cousin is a scientist so then there is an image of this very stern but sarcastic guy testing and testing and retesting. That image sounds so boring but I’m grateful there are brilliant minds like him out there. Scientist come in many different forms. They study and discover many different things. Over time there have been many types of scientist and they weren’t all wearing lab coats. Leonardo da Vinci was one I found interesting due to my love of art. He combined art and science in his sketches. He has amazing futuristic designs and even envisioned flight. Sadly he was a chronic procrastinator and had frequent disasters with his experiments of new techniques (Leonadoda-Vinci). Galileo Galilei was an Italian scientist who developed the telescopes and started to observe...

Fall of Asclepius

...Fall of Asclepius By Harm 1 and Icrick Prologue Where should I begin? The apocalypse happened so fast. In less than a month, monsters infested every part of this world. People panicked, people died. They clawed at each other just to get out of all the infested areas around the world. There was problem about fleeing from infested areas. Everywhere was infested. There was no where anyone could go without encountering the walking plague. You know that phrase "War is Hell"? Well... it's dead wrong. War at least has some organization to it. What was faced in the last days... by last days I mean the last days of civilization not life; itself. What was faced was hell. Everyone went ape shit insane. Everyone was killing and raping each other into oblivion, because we were under attack by creatures that was so beyond our understanding! Geez, there were many names given to these undead. Some called them demons, others called them lost souls. With all these names, I found only one that was truly worthy; Zombies. It was a simple word. At the same time it was the most complicated word to enter any human language. I mean just think about it... You say that word to anyone before the outbreak and what would they think of? They would, think of those horror movies or comic books where, for no reason what so ever, zombies appear all around the globe in an instance. That's not how it happened for us. There were signs for over two months. It's just that no one took the time to put the...

New Start

...Chapter 1 I Get What I Pay For Welcome to Red Grove. Population 200 “Now, two hundred and one,” I murmured as I passed the painted wooden sign in my trusty red Jeep. Small towns like Red Grove always made me think of horror movies as if a gap-toothed, overall-wearing butcher might hobble out of his deep woods shanty, pitchfork in hand, at any moment. The town had an off the charts creepy factor. On my right, a dark forest worthy of the Brothers Grimm. On my left, a cemetery edged in a weathered wrought iron fence. I think there were more than two hundred headstones. More dead than living. Nice. There must be some mistake. I came here to start over. Could a new life be hiding behind the unappealing rural exterior? My promised house remained a mystery. I double-checked the notebook with my father’s scrawled directions resting on the passenger’s seat next to me. Technically, I’d lived in Red Grove as a child, but we’d moved before I turned two. I didn’t remember the town at all or the residents, living or dead. I shifted my attention back to my driving. “Holy shit!” I proclaimed as I overcorrected the wheel, and my foot drifted from the gas. The man on the side of the road was so attractive I could’ve died—literally. He was planting something. A tree, I think. Every time his shovel hit the dirt, a ripple coursed through his shoulders and down his stomach. I raised an eyebrow at the glint of sun on tanned, shirtless skin. Dark hair, low slung jeans. I tried not to...

...Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules These rules are effective as of July 17, 2015. Introduction This document is designed for people who’ve moved beyond the basics of the Magic: The Gathering® game. If you’re a beginning Magic™ player, you’ll probably find these rules intimidating. They’re intended to be the ultimate authority for the game, and you won’t usually need to refer to them except in specific cases or during competitive games. For casual play and most ordinary situations, you’ll find what you need in the Magic: The Gathering basic rules. You can download a copy of the basic rules PDF from the Wizards of the Coast® Magic rules website at Magic.Wizards.com/EN/Rules. If you’re sure this is where you want to be, keep reading. This document includes a series of numbered rules followed by a glossary. Many of the numbered rules are divided into subrules, and each separate rule and subrule of the game has its own number. (Note that subrules skip the letters “l” and “o” due to potential confusion with the numbers “1” and “0”; subrule 704.5k is followed by 704.5m, then 704.5n, then 704.5p, for example.) We at Wizards of the Coast recognize that no matter how detailed the rules, situations will arise in which the interaction of specific cards requires a precise answer. If you have questions, you can get the answers from us at Wizards.com/CustomerService. Additional contact information is on the last page of these rules. In response to play issues and to...
