The Winter concert that occured on December 11th featured four Wind Ensemble pieces that ranged from exciting and rhythmic melodies to southern jazz styles and famous Christmas tunes. These contrasting selections gave the audience an interesting and entertaining variety of music and effectively brought the spirit of the Christmas season to the auditorium of Sartell High School. The Wind Ensemble began with Robert Buckley’s piece, Arctic Fire. This piece was especially impactful because dynamics were

I recently went to a Grace M. Davis Dance Concert. It was an incredible experience and also very enjoyable. I really liked their choreography and their performance. One of the things that I learned from this experience is that hard work always pays off. If you work hard and put your mind into something, then everything is possible. If you watch those dancers dance, a person can think that they came to this point in couple days and very easily. However, they worked years to become good and skilled

I had to audition for concert band in the seventh grade. I was thirteen years old and had a decent number of friends, most of which were also in the band. My two best friends were Brett and Ryan. Brett played tuba and Ryan played trombone. I also played trombone and was fairly talented at it ,but I was worried because I heard that the band directors were very strict and most people didn't make it into the top bands at Centennial middle school. In addition to that I was also nervous as a result of

A decision to shift the United States strategy away from an American hegemony and toward a concert-balance strategy is thought provoking and needs serious consideration. Dr. Porter lays out a strong case for this change. When viewing current world affairs and ruling powers in emerging states, the United States can no longer be the sole first responder in the world. America needs to shift its strategic thinking, however, not necessarily to the degree of retrenchment described as hemispheric pullback

Cassidy-Polera played the piano. The concert was made up of four main sets and then had three individual pieces at the end to close. The longest part of the show was “Suite No. 3 in C major for Cello Solo, BMV 109” by J.S. Bach. This was only Mr. Peled playing the cello. I found this very interesting as the music conveyed a lot of different emotions. After doing more research I discovered that the music followed a pattern of emotions that was outlined in the concert program. The piece started out with
