“You are majoring in Criminal Justice? You must want to be a police officer” are the words I hear from almost every new person that I meet in college. I quietly reply to each one saying that no, I don’t want to be a police officer, but a lawyer. I understand that the police force is a very common occupation in the Criminal Justice system, and I know that these newcomers do not know anything about my personality and dreams for my future.
