1.0 INTRODUCTION 2.0 Company background. NASSCO is a marine construction facility employing between 5,000 to 7,000 during peak periods. NASSCO is considered to be a total marine facility with capabilities in design, engineering, new construction, conversion, repair of ships and offshore oil drilling platforms. The hourly work force is represented by seven (7) different craft unions. NASSCO’s hourly personnel during this project fluctuated from a high of approximately 4,100 to a low of 2,800.
