Confident Pitching

Entrepreneurs should always be able to give rememberable pitch at any moment. Being able to confidently convey the benefits of your product to another individual is crucial in achieving success and commitment from a buyer. You never want to come off as that nervous, sweaty, stuttering individual in during a pitch. There are a few key ways to overcome these negatives when presenting, in which will make you look and sound suave and competent.

The easiest way to cut back the stress of pitching, and to counteract that nervous sweat is to make sure you are completely prepared, and rehearsed. Being aware of what you are going to touch on is critical. Also, a hiccup up individuals frequently do is relying on the use of “um”. This sentence filling killer can cut down your credibility and make listening parties focus more on negative aspects.

Additionally, a speaker should always speak clearly and vary their voice. More times than not individuals can just drone in monotone and bore out a crowd. This can be altered by punching in on critical words, and whispering the important ones. By doing so you can get your prospects to lean in and make them feel almost privileged to hear what you are telling them.

Another critical element that must be present is eye contact. Of course this should go without being said, but a lot of times individuals do not make eye contact at the right times. Sometimes in a pitch when the subject may seem awkward or personal, the speaker may avert eye contact. This is a huge mistake because it can instantly take away from your credibility. Further, one must be very animated when pitching. Act as though the very best thing in the world just happened to you--be enthusiastic.

Finally, a lot of this is pretty obvious but most times some find it impossible to do. They key to hitting on all theses points is to just relax. By relaxing you will allow your brain to freely think and you will be more comfortable acting on your toes. Any entrepreneur should be able to effectively do all of this, whether they are pitching an idea to a venture capitalist or asking the bank for another loan--a confident pitch will go a long way allowing you to fake it before you make it.

Effects of Common Behaviour on Memory

...PSYCHOLOGY 110– LAB EXPERIENCE PAPER MEMORY in HUMAN BEINGS SECTION I: OVERVIEW Memory, is an abstract term with no real concrete definition or absolute understanding thus making the word intriguing enough to draw attention to the greater subject of what it is, how it works and why it goes wrong. It is an essential concept in our daily life yet is the most elusive and misunderstood human attribute. Its constant presence in our everyday and its intricately complex mysteries is what ignites my interest in the research conducted in this field of Psychology. As a college student memory plays a great role in our academic performance, from weather we can recall mathematical formulas to recalling something a professor said in class to remembering certain solutions, key words and definitions we read in course material. Therefore from a personal standpoint the topic of memory interests me, as by understanding this complex concept and going into the depths of it’s functioning, I might be able to improve my own. Memory is formed from childhood and I am interested to see if memory is an natural capacity, and if so what factors lead to a better memory and if not can memory be affected by daily everyday factors. From a Psychological perspective memory excites me because the way we remember things and how can help us understand behavior and reactions to various situations. Memory hence affects decision-making and all other spheres of human life. The recollection of memory,...

A Case for Biblical Monogamy

...TYNDALE THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY marriage: a case for biblical monogamy maxwell nana addi research methods November 25, 2014 Introduction The earliest relationships among humans were certainly those between men and women, who came together and produced children. In the earliest days, such a relationship began to be called “marriage.” In the Judeo-Christian tradition, based on the book of Genesis, marriage began in the garden of Eden when God made one woman, Eve, out of one man, Adam. Marriage has been explained differently by various cultures throughout history as to whether or not it should be monogamous or polygamous. Scholars explain this in different ways. W. Schmidt’s theory asserts that marriage began as monogamy and decayed into polygamy later on. The opposite thesis of this theory is that of J.J. Bachofen. Bachofen argued that marriage began as a random selection of a partner subsequently leading to polygamy and group marriages. From group marriages, marriage moved to monogamy. These two views show the two different poles of understanding about the origin of marriage: as either monogamous or polygamous. On the other hand, Köstenberger and Jones argue that placing too much premium on the freedom of man has led to a decay in the understanding of marriage. They state that “many hail the decline of the biblical-traditional model of marriage and the family and its replacement by new competing moralities as major progress.” This paper will focus on monogamy as the...

You will be a good leader if you’re a good follower. At dapat may effort ka, efficiency, self motivation, at discipline. ...Blue Ocean Strategy Velez, Joshua T. MKT/421 November, 05, 2015 Mr. Allauddin Blue Ocean Strategy Throughout time people, business, companies, and consumers have been trying to compete with one another to create the “next best thing”. In doing this most of the time people are taking something that is already in existence and working to make it more successful, or create a better version of it. However there are the real innovators that think outside of the box and really create something that is new and ahead of its time. These are the type of people that fall into the classification of the “Blue Ocean Strategy”. There is also the person that has a different mindset and get in their own way with a closed minded style of thinking which is known as “Red Oceans”. Really being innovative is how we push our civilization to continue to grow and be great. The Blue Ocean strategy is a concept that was created by W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne that tells us if we want to be creative and innovative we have to take a product and completely unique so as to entice consumers to want what we have. In the Red Oceans there are many products circulating that are basically the same and they pretty much become unattractive to the public. The average consumer wants something new and exciting, or they want something that is comparable to what is already out there, but it has or does something to set itself apart from the rest of the pack. Creating that one product that no one else produces...

Stages of the Research Project

...Week 3 Individual: Stages of the research Project RES/351 Word of Mouth is considered a powerful marketing device. The impact of consumers discussing products and services with other potential clients can be both beneficial or negative depending upon the view of the customer. Word of mouth referrals have long been considered a vital aspect of marketing but in the new digital age this referral system is drawn into question. One of the major criticisms of the word of Mouth today is that it is less influential due to globalization. The internet provides a new voice for consumers but is this voice as powerful as traditional word of mouth? This new field of research is slowly being explored. Due to the age of the internet, there are limited studies in this area. One of the most prominent studies was performed by Microsoft and Keller Fay Group. The study “Talk Track” was intended to measure the impact of the word of mouth both traditional and nontraditional forms. The research collected 24,724 interviews from participants ages 18-54 (Microsoft; Keller Fay Group, 2011). The study was self-reported with the participants using diaries to keep track of conversations concerning brands. Participants also completed online surveys that further detailed the word of mouth conversations. The independent variable in this experiment was the word of mouth, and the dependent variable was impact of the word of mouth on consumer brand values. The sample sizes of participants were: Adult Respondents...

Children of Divorce

...Effects on Children of Divorced Parents Kenneth Sepulveda ENG/135 February 22, 2014 Valerie Carnevale DeVry University Effects on Children of Divorced Parents Divorce can be a traumatic experience for children to go through when separations occurs. The effects on children are by far the most significant factors, sometimes resulting in behavioral disorders and developmental issues, as a result of alternating between households, economic instability, and behavioral related issues. However, children of divorced parents could be helped when parents place their children first, develop communication and problem solving skills and use family programs to help their children deal with life altering changes. Parents that relocate after a divorce can have lasting effects on their children’s' mental and emotional wellbeing. When children hop between two separate households it can put a large amount of stress on an already bad situation. Uphold-Carrier & Utz (2012) research experts in the field sociology point out that children moving between parent’s households are at a greater risk for social networking disorders and educational issues (Uphold-Carrier & Utz, 2012). This is because, children lose important ties with existing friends that possibly may help them adjust to their new circumstances. While this may be true, parents are subject to custody agreements and have little choice were they can live because of the economic difficulties after divorce. Nevertheless, children...
