This is a qualitative case study which identifies the role of special education parents and their involvement in their child’s academic achievement. Before the study, the researchers will have to follow several steps. These protocols will have to follow before any instrument can be sent out. The researcher has to get approval from the Fulton County Schools. Once the request has been approved, then the researcher will send letters to the principals of the three middle schools to obtain permission to conduct a research study. The letter would explain the intent of the research study and the process following the letter.
