Wireless Signals

...Randy Guin   Abstract This is a short study of the different types of wireless technologies in common use today. This study will touch on only four types, although there are actually numerous types fulfilling many different uses. Wireless Signals Introduction In the world today, we have begun to rely heavily on various new technologies. Everything from the way our vehicles run to being able to spy remotely on our own houses can be done with the advances made in technology in the last few decades. One of the newest and most frequently used advances today is those that have been made in wireless technology, although that in itself is by no means new. The very first completely wireless system was patented by a man named Marconi in 1897(JPL’s Website, 1995), and a new future in communication was conceived. There are currently numerous wireless technologies available around the world which enable many tasks to be completed more quickly than ever before. Communication

...whether it is a lawyer talking business with his partner over the phone or a college student writing on Facebook in the back of his or her classroom. These new forms of communication, specifically the emergence of the cell phone and the more recent boom in social networking, have made the way we communicate with one another much different than how our parents used to communicate with one another. The critical forms of communication I will be focusing on are cell phones and social networking. An analysis of this emergence in communication technology reveals that while communication in our generation is much different and more advanced than it was in our parents’ generation, it is a positive change overall. The first form of communication I will be analyzing is the telephone. I will give a short history of this device. The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876 using a bar magnet, a coil of fine wire, and a thin metal disk. Over time, this device was perfected and features such as the telephone dial were invented. This allowed each phone to be assigned a unique telephone number, or address. Nowadays, the dial has been replaced by a tone telephone, making phones much more advanced. You can see these advances for yourself in modern mobile phones, such as iPhones and Androids. The first mobile phone call was made in 1946 using the Bell System’s Mobile Telephone Service. Shortly after in 1956, the world’s first partly automatic car phone system was developed in Sweden...

Effects of Media

...Issues within Social Media Sites: The Past, The Present, and The Future Social media came onto the scene in a huge manner with hype that hasn’t been matched since but with that huge hype that it brought, it brought along some problems as well, problems that social media users are still anxiously waiting to be fixed.
