In my small centralized community, there are many issues that play a huge part in the city's infrastructure. The high homelessness rate in the Alpena area is taking a tole on the local economy. Most of these people do not have jobs, and are limiting the economic potential of the community. If these people were to get jobs then the Alpena area would greatly benefit from their contribution to the economy. Unemployment is a problem that every state has and can contribute to homelessness. By increasing the workforce in the Alpena area, other organizations will be able to come in and provide their services to this community. By employing this population I will be stimulating the economy and providing my business with cost effective employees. These newly housed employees will work every aspect of hotel from housekeeping to the daily breakfasts and dinners. This provides them with responsibilities just like any other adults and will teach them life skills. I would advertise the business in two ways. The first way would be by having billboards scattered throughout the outer limits of the Alpena area to attract tourists or passerbys. I would also include that the hotel has many additional qualities, such as a pool and dining hall, because many families in Alpena like to have birthday parties or banquets at these locations. I believe this business has the potential to work because it provides benefits to those living inside and outside of the Alpena area. This business is meant to be a kickstarter or a fresh start for the homeless and unemployed people's careers. The hotel will be open to the public and will not discriminate jobs from homeless or non homeless individuals.
