It was July third, Jesus Joplin and his family were celebrating his grandmother's 70th birthday. The day started very happily, just like any other. Jesus and his little sister, Amiyah had to walk to the store and get ice cream for the cake. After they got to the store, Amiyah had to go to the restroom, and while she was in there Jesus was going to get the ice cream and they would meet back at the checkout, but all didn’t go as planned. Jesus had a little trouble finding the ice cream his mother told him to get so it took a little longer than expected. Amiyah came out from the bathroom and there stood a man Amiyah has never seen before, he told her Jesus had to run home and for her to go with him and he would take her home. Amiyah didn’t know any better, so she went with him. When Jesus finally got to the checkout, he couldn’t find Amiyah anywhere. He automatically thought that she just walked home because she’s done it before. When Jesus got home, he asked his mother where Amiyah was and she said she thought she was with him. His mother, very furious began to…show more content… As he started to leave the only thing he took with him was a picture of Amiyah, to remind him whatever he does in life its for her. As he started to cross the border it was harder than expected, the security was more intense and updated then he thought. He finally got through and is in America as an illegal mexican. Jesus settles in at a small town called Turrell, Arkansas. He doesn’t know it yet, but Turrell has a high crime rate. He lives behind a gas station, between the dumpster and a brick wall. He met a man thats a part of construction company, and he offered Jesus a job to work with him, he wouldn’t be making very much, but it was a start. After about 6 months of working Jesus finally had enough money saved up to rent an apartment. Life got easier for Jesus, until one day something struck a horrific memory in his
