The movie I decided to watch for this assignment is Legally Blonde starring Reese Witherspoon as a bubbly, intelligent and outgoing sorority girl, Elle. The movie starts off with Elle not having any thoughts about attending law school but desperate to win her ex-boyfriend Warner back, Elle takes the admission test, applies to Harvard, and is accepted. At first the movie revolves around trying to get Warner back and having to deal with the stress her classmates who disapprove of her because of her innocent and naïve behaviour. As the movie slowly starts to pick up, Elle is starting to get her head in the books and wins an internship with Professor Callahan, and then she realizes she has to defend Brooke Taylor-Windham, a famous fitness instructor accused of murdering her much older billionaire husband, Hayworth Windham. This movie is related to Criminal Justice because it involves a murder case, getting testimonies and defending a client.

Brooke refused to provide Professor Callahan with an alibi but when Elle visits Brooke in prison, she admits she had a liposuction but couldn’t reveal it to the court because it would ruin her fitness enthusiast image. Elle now has to work around the fact that she cannot reveal this secret and has to find another way to win Brooke`s
