On June 28, 2012 “The affordable care act”, also known as “Obama care” which has been nothing less than controversial and a very well spoken about topic in national media since 2008 was passed and up held by the Supreme Court. The bill has passed and now we can move forward with a public option system that will help millions. The political bickering will most likely never stop even though the bill has passed.
In the United States it is well-known fact that we as working American’s pay for our own healthcare. And it is typically never cheap, and the coverage is less than satisfying especially to the parents with children or those with special factors involved in their lives. Globally it is also very well-known, that Americans pay more than anyone else in the world for our healthcare. A large part of this is the system we use now which some call the insurance company system. In time of recession health insurance companies are currently making record profits while they continue to raise their premiums. When there are more unemployed in this country which clearly means less people covered medically how it is possible that health insurance companies could still be making record profits? Rather than doctors and health care providers making decisions as they should. Doctors are forced to make decisions financially to their patients because of the “fee payment” schedule put out by the insurance companies.

There seems to be some confusion about “Obamacare” and how it is looked at by many as socialism. Many people are seeing this as an example of the Government forcing its healthcare upon people. It is more of a system that fosters capitalism and clearly regulation. The concept is exciting though. Especially since now for the first time everyone must carry health insurance for the first time thus making them responsible for themselves. Is it likely that
