Academic Search Premier. Web. 5 Apr. 2014. This article by Tal Bergman talks about euthanasia and physician assisted-suicide. are terms used to describe the process in which a doctor of a sick or disabled individual engages in an activity which directly or indirectly leads to their death. This behavior is engaged by the healthcare provider based on their humanistic desire to end suffering and pain. The psychiatrist's involvement may be requested in several distinct situations including evaluation of patient capacity when an appeal for euthanasia is requested on grounds of terminal somatic illness or when the patient is requesting euthanasia due to mental suffering. We compare attitudes of 49 psychiatrists towards euthanasia and assisted suicide with a group of 54 other physicians by means of a questionnaire describing different patients, who either requested physician-assisted suicide or in whom euthanasia as a treatment option was considered, followed by a set of questions relating to euthanasia implementation. When controlled for religious practice, psychiatrists expressed more conservative views regarding euthanasia than did physicians from other medical specialties. Similarly female physicians and orthodox physicians indicated more conservative views. Differences may be due to factors...

...Vita Kellett Kate Hamm English 050 November 4, 2012 Audience My audiences are the people who think about adopting internationally and people who just might be interested in finding out more about adoption outside of the United States. I will try to use many examples of international adoption and how that affects the child. Anyone could read this paper but I believe that this information would be more interesting for those who want to find some answers about international adoption. Purpose The purpose of my paper is to inform and to those who want to adopt internationally about straggles they might have and what’s the better way to deal with them and how to find answers. Also I will try to persuade my audience to adopt more and to change lives of those who aren’t so luck and happened to not have any family. Thesis statement If the U. S. department of state international adoption services would provide classes on what to expect when you adopt independently overseas then the families that are adopting would be more prepared. Content: Background of the Problem When you adopt overseas you are indeed changing not only your life but the life of the adopted children. You are showing them what it is like to have a lovely home and a family that takes care about you. But why do some of these children still have a hard time adapting to it? It is obvious that they will have to learn new ways in the new country but there is more to that. Some of the adopted children...

...ANOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY Kevin Taylor Souther New Hampshire University Scorsese, M. (Director). Dicaprio, L. (Actor). (2010). Shutter Island [Motion picture]. Paramount Pictures. This source provides an in depth text about the storyline as a whole. I like this source because there was some parts of the movie that was unclear. I think this movie requires attention to detail because it seems like you are inside the mind of a delusional patient at times (which is technically true). After researching the film I notice that there was a few people confused about the ending. Most people was confused about whether or not Teddy Daniels was actually insane. I personally have come to the conclusion that he was insane thanks to this reference. Shutter Island (2010, February 19). The Internet Movie Database (IMDB). Retrieved April 14, 2010, from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1130884/ I found a interview on this site where Leonardo DiCaprio gives his opinion on the character he played (Teddy Daniels). I think this could be useful because he has to research his character and be able to understand the person he is playing. This interview gain me an additional perspective on Teddy Daniels and how to attack this assignment from a psychological standpoint. Friedman, H.S. & Schustack, M.W. (2008).
