Write a 100- to 150-word response to each of the following questions:

• Was there anything in either the University of Phoenix Student Code of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic Integrity that surprised you? If so, what was it? Why were you surprised? If not, why not?

Nothing really surprised me as I feel that the UofP Student Code of Conduct is very essential to influence learning. As any other institution there will be guidelines that one must follow, these are not intended to anger anyone just simply aid in the educating process. If I were to think of these rules to be unfair, I would analyze each rule in question put myself in an administrators’ position and see how unorganize things would be without this particular rule.

• What did you learn about the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community?

Being an ethical learner is the best route to take, as students we can become overwhemled and the easy way out will seem like the best option. Taking the easy road will only short change a person’s education, for example, taking a paper written by someone else will only take away from your learning experice in writing papers. There will come a time that you will need to use your own brain to compose theories and ideas and if you fall short on experience, there will be no way for you to be successful in achieving the grade you think that you deserve. Doing your own work will enhance your character and in the end it will will feel great to say that you have worked hard to earn a degree and really mean it.
