Astro Nova does not have many products, however they thrive on a few products in which they specialize, and lead the industry in. Their most well known product would be their line of Avionic printers, which go into the cockpits of large airplanes. For example one of their largest clients is Boeing. They also specialize in Quicklabel Systems, which are responsible for printing small tags/ labels for items. People would see these tags used on water bottles, t-shirts, or basically anything that needs a label. Another product they provide is Test Equipment, which is used for testing electricity levels, as well as test equipment for the auto industry. All their products are created/ produced/ marketed/ and tested all at Astro Nova. There are many departments included in this process, and Mr. Steve Holbrook is the manger in charge of the Quality Assurance department. In the Quality Assurance department, the employees test every product that is built and that is shipped to the customer. This job can hold high stress at times when the employees have to evaluate and figure out the problem in the products that do not work properly. At times it is an easy fix where as other times could have an employee spending a lot of time trying to figure out what the problem is with one unit. The department is organized with 5 engineers who report directly to Mr. Holbrook. Their service of making sure all the products work properly is a key factor to the success of Astro- Nova. The employees in the Quality Assurance department are involved in new product introduction, as well as customer interface. Some of their main duties consist of evaluating problems in products, overseeing manufacturing, assisting in test procedure, and to make sure all requirements are met. If something does not work, then they must make a report to what went wrong. The outputs of Quality Assurance are the reports
